Everyone can do it now aswell. Stackwiping isnt about discipline.

It is, every army cannot last 1 fire phrase and 1 shock phrase will be wipe. 20% more damage from discipline means Prussia can stack wipe a army 20% larger than other nation, it gives Prussia much more option in wars. Plus, that damage multiply with infantry combat ability, so nothing strange when Prussia stack wipe an army half its size. With the nerf, the different is now only 7.5%, plus army are now more resilient due to defensive bonus for discipline, Prussia old strategy is much less viable. That is a huge nerf to Prussia, and smaller nerf to other countries with discipline bonus.

Between 7.5% Discipline and 50% Force Limit, I gonna pick the later one.
You can switch to playing Muscovy, just like I switched to playing Milan to form Russia with them.

Between 50% forcelimits and 7.5% Discipline I'd pick the latter one every single time. One of many reasons for this is that in order to fill this new limit you gonna pay exactly 50% extra in maintenance, so in case of even economies, this bonus alone doesn't even necessarily mean you have a 50% advantage in numbers.

And with that 7.5% Discipline, you need to go over your force limit and pay 62.5% extra in maintenance to have the same military power as me who have 50% larger army than you.

Just a suggestion here but I think we ought to be able to invest in infrastructure (i.e. buildings) within our Colonial Nations. I often found myself sitting with surplus MPs and I would like use them in my CNs especially using MIL points to develop their military infrastructure to help them defend themselves better. I often chose their Governors of particular category with that in mind, often DIP for their navy and MIL for their army.

Zombies ate most of people brainzzzz ...Discipline as stated before , should effect both offensive and defensive capabilities so STOP saying that with the new patch it's counted twice...Also 7.5% discipline to powerhouse Prussia is shit.
It doesn't count as 15% also, so cut your yapping..

> Prussia still has the biggest discipline bonus of any nation in the game (remember, everyone else got halved and Sweden, the only real competitor, got cut down to a third, putting it at equal to everyone who formerly had +10%, at least until the Reforms of Gustavus Adolphus kick in)
> Still has all of its other HUEG military bonuses
> Nerfed into the ground, doesn't have strong ideas any more

Seriously, Prussia's still got the biggest military quality bonuses by a large margin, quit yer kvetching.

Probably the same as it should have gone for Prussia IRL if it weren't for some very lucky events.

You can't balance a nation around one specific scenario. Ming also didn't fall to 20k Tercios historically.

The above posters are right, Prussia is still extremely strong with their infantry combat ability and permanent 100 army tradition (which should have been nerfed). I'm glad Paradox are playing their own multiplayer games instead of listening solely to vocal forum-goers.

Yes they had two really lucky events, and they should have been partitioned between Russia, Sweden, Austria and Saxony.

I know, I didn't actually mean that you should do it. Ming and all Asian and North African nations should be buffed a lot. They didn't fall behind in tech until the industrial revolution.

Yes, Prussia and Brandenburg are really powerful and they should not get any military ideas at all. They were not a military power until after 1700.

Yes it does, because you should ALWAYS be over your FL (unless you already have a huge empire in SP).

Policies seem really cool (I'm game for anything that adds flavor and makes your country unique), however they also seem kind of under powered in relation to how much they cost (perhaps make some of them cost money instead, I always find myself with a huge treasury and nothing to spend it on, but a shortage of monarch points). I'm looking forward to playing a game as Courland, their NIs sound really cool!

I still think the answer for Brandenburg is for Brandenburg to get Saxony-like NIs, and for Prussian ideas to be reserved for countries that actually manage to form Prussia.

Agree to a degree. Brandenburg was somewhat more militaristic, and a lot more focused on getting the most from it's relatively poor land. So merc and production ideas should figure rather prominently. But diplomacy should be the focus.

That would be nice, but actually forming Prussia historically is difficult. AI Teutonic Order never seems to flip to Protestant and become Prussia itself, which prevents Brandenburg from making it a vassal/PU (outside of war) and afterwards taking it over.
