I just had a funny bug. I saved my game on the 1st of a month (maybe I should not have done that) and when I reloaded the save, one of my vassals (Baglana) had another overlord. Now Baglana has two overlords : Gujarat and me (Vijay)....And Gujarat is the one that is counted for liberty desire.

I just bought Rights of Man (i found an atractive price and used a discount code) and I need to say that i really like queen consort feature and ruler personalities. Also, Institutions work very good and the culture overhaul. Btw i started to play as an Aragon and got an union over Castille and Austria. Most lucky run ever :DD

Someone may realign some buttons... I spent half an hour trying to make one using the create vassal button (which is in a really silly place anyway).

Is it the absolute price tag of 20 or the value for money that you're referring to? If the latter, what could we have added to make you happy?

This seems like a debate I have seen here a lot. I am not sure there is any amount of features you could add to justify the $20 price tag. It would require total changes in mechanics (such as the removal of monarch points for something else) to make that price tag justifiable. But any major updates like that (rework of the rebels, forts, etc) are always given away free because they affect the future of the game. Then people argue that those who buy the DLC also pay for the free updates for those that only use the free updates. It's really a form of socialism, which is not surprising considering Paradox is Swedish.

Anyways, for me to make this justifiable would be $5 or $10. I think add-on content should always be a fraction of the cost of the original base game. I know Paradox has some big white board out there or something where each added feature is labeled as major/minor/etc and that helps affect the price. But, that doesn't make people like me feel much better. I am in a conundrum really. I haven't played EUIV in a few months. I would like to return, but a few of the features in Rights of Man are comparable in important to The Art of War (which I consider by far the most important DLC to date). I have a good job, so $20 isn't that big of a deal. But I am not someone that overpays for what I buy. I won't pay $5 for an apple just because I want an apple and can afford it.

There is one way I could see $20 being justified for an expansion. Besides some new features, add a third well-designed continent between either America and Asia or between America and Europe and populate it with a variety of peoples. Maybe be super original ;) and call the expansion Atlantis or something. But that may be too niche of a thing to waste resources on.

To those that respectfully disagree with me, please explain why you justify 2/5 of the price of the base game for a DLC like Rights of Man. Queen regencies is an amazing sounding feature. But regencies not being able to declare war has been a major complaint since day 1 (and maybe even prior EUs?). Why are we paying to fix what was a broken system? Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that the main purpose of queen regencies? So we can still declare war and get more monarch points (I assume their traits will be better than a regency)? Leadership and monarch traits also sound great.. but $20 great? This IS a good DLC on paper. No doubt about that. I looked for a black Friday sale and none. If it were down to $10, I'd buy it right now. If it were at $15, I'd consider it. At $20, it's just too much.

Well you are in luck! Because right now its not $20.

Also, capitalism is driven by who spends on what. Just because we dont value the DLC at $20 doesnt mean everyone feels that way.

Yes it is. I looked both at their Black Friday sale (it's not listed there) and on Steam (which still says $19.99).

Oh, i swear i saw it listed on sale. Maybe it was just the unit packs.
Oh well, it goes on sale eventually.
.....if you want to be cheap you need to learn to wait. :)

Playing my first game with the new DLC. Price is fair, this is EU IV, not a second-rate game. It's also stupid to say it's too much, this is clearly a lack of notion of the prices practiced by major companies today. You'd see Paradox is pretty fair in comparison.

Anyhow, trying to come to terms with the absurd amount of losses due to attrition. Even when there's apparently no reason to it. I'm playing Denmark, and I was besieging a fortress in the Latvian region, had 18 regiments in place, and, out of blue, I lose 800 hundred soldiers in a month: there was no winter, just 1% of attrition, the enemy army was destroyed, I didn't exceed the supply limit so what on earth explains this?

-Other than that, having more hours into RoM, I feel it's a very a nice addition to the game.

Out of curiosity, did this DLC make attrition penalties bigger?

I love EU4 but I feel like every new DLC brings some slight changes to the previous game with a price tag. I'd like to see more unique add-ons that add something completely new and don't alter the past gameplay. Just my opinion. I still buy every DLC because I love this game :p
