If you receive a Steam code, use it on Steam and Steam should hopefully give you a CD key the normal way (which will grant you the icon).

(and there is still radio silence from Steam support regarding my report).

Did you buy it directly from Steam? (I am sending out inquiries, but I am still waiting for replies as well)

Sadly, at the moment, if you pre-ordered through any other retailer than Steam you can not get the code apparently. I am looking into how this might be solved in another way as I feel it is a bit lame that you get the key from only one retailer, but I can not promise anything. And in worst case scenario you will have to wait for release day to get the special icon (you will still get the pre-order one).

For you who ordered through Steam and still did not receive a key. Could you maybe PM me your steam account name (the one you log in with, not the in-game name that you can change as you please), what product you ordered (Extreme or Regular) and when you ordered and I will try to figure out why some are visible and some not.

Hi guys!

I want to thank you all for sending me the information I requested before.

HOWEVER! I needed information to send to Steam so that they could look for what went wrong, why some can't see the code. It did not mean I would be able to make the CD key appear. I'm sorry if it was misleading.

I have not heard anything more from them I'm afraid. I will poke them again to see what's going on.

Steam did ask me to stop telling you to contact them. It seems this is some information that has been circulating, which is understandable since that is usually the process when missing a key. Not this time though. So no need for you to contact steam, we are in contact with them.

I will get back to you when I hear anything new.

As it looks right now, pre-orders will receive one special icon while others receive another. This may change (to pre-orders getting both). I will have to discuss with the people responsible for EUIV, how they feel about it

Can't you just do it like CKII did it with the pre-order? Those of us who pre-ordered got both the regular CKII icon and the CKII Holy Knight Icon.

I believe that is what will end up happening.

This might be a stupid question, but I'd like to pre-order from Amazon.co.uk.

The Amazon.co.uk product page has different product information to Amazon.com. Amazon.co.uk seems to be showing the game as a physical product, and no pre-order bonuses. As the game is likely to be small, I'm not too worried if there isn't actually a physical product, but if I am going to pre-order I'd like to be certain I am actually getting the bonuses.

amazon.com is selling online codes (Steam) and should be providing you with the pre-order bonuses. co.uk however, is physical copies and you won't receive the pre-order bonus.

Someone already has the icon, I have preordered a while ago, but no key is appearing... I really hope to get all i paid for (i mean the bonus, I don't care that much about the icon)

The pre-order DLC rewards are in no way tied to the icon, so this "problem" should not be related.

They are supposed to be sent out by email. I expect to receive more detailed information next week.
