Does this mean no more Dev Diaries from now on?
I don't think so.

There should at least be one with the changelog, i think.

Emperor is the newest expansion to Paradox Development Studio’s epic grand strategy game about the rise and fall of empires from the fall of Constantinople to the rise of Napoleon. This expansion opens up three central game systems, offering new gameplay opportunities for the Papacy, the Holy Roman Empire and Revolutionary movements, as well as a host of other changes.

Features in Europa Universalis IV: Emperor include:
  • A Powerful Pope: Appoint cardinals, publish Papal Bulls and gather tithes. The Vatican and Papal Controller now have new abilities to sway the souls of Christendom.
  • New Holy Roman Empire Systems: Imperial Incidents provide new challenges to the Emperor's power and authority. Will your empire follow a course to a centralized monarchy or decentralized federation?
  • Revolutions Revamped: The spirit of Revolution is a contagion that must be either embraced or vigorously opposed. Use the zeal of revolutionary guard units to fight reactionaries at home and abroad.
  • The Hussite Faith: Bohemia has an early game chance to embrace heresy and stand alone against the Pope until The Reformation.
  • Hegemonies: Seize the mantle of global leadership if you accumulate great wealth and armies, but be prepared to face great opposition from those who question your right to rule.
  • New Missions: Over 20 new unique mission trees for a variety of European nations
  • Defender of Faith: With great responsibility comes great power. Defending a major religion should be different from defending an insignificant one. Now it is!
  • The Council of Trent and Counter-Reformation: Join other Catholic rulers to slow down the spread of the Reformation by making concessions to the unruly mob or harshly imposing the will of God.
  • Provoke Rebellions: Risk a larger rebellion now while you think you can manage it instead of waiting for discontent to take its course

Europa Universalis IV: Emperor will be available on June 09, 2020 at the Paradox store and major online retail outlets for the suggested retail price of $19.99/ £15.49/ €19.99 - you can pre-order today!
You have to show the new unit models now, those are the rules.

Great work team. Let's hope Jan Mayen keeps out of Stockholm until June 10.

My only question is why the Greek minors are getting passed over? Almost everyone in the Balkans has a mission tree except Greece and the Greek minors. Of all the nations to skip in the region, they skip the one that was the first to move for independence during the game time frame.

Greece only gets a single event that deletes Byzantine cores and adds Greek cores late game, right?

Yep. Considering that the Greek Revolt/War for Independence occurs a month (2/21) after the game would end, it would make sense that they would have a bit more after this update.

Instant buy for me as well. I've restrained myself from playing the game for a long time now, seeing all the exciting stuff you guys were developing which made the actual game instantly obsolete for me. Can't wait to dive back in again !! (already took 3 days off from work to geek the sh*t out of it :p)

Also I really hope the sales will turn out outstandingly well for you, you took a lot of time to bring a lot of meaningful and impactful changes to the table and you didn't shy away from modifiying from the ground well implemented systems (estates, mercenaries...). This is clearly what I expect from a DLC and for that I think you deserve to be successfull. Not selling a new DLC for more than a year and paying a full development/QA team for this whole time is most probably quite a hefty investment for Paradox (managing a team of 10 people myself, I know the costs attached to this :)). I really hope it pays off so we can get more DLCs like that in the future ! :)
