what I miss economically is a dynamic system for the economy of each province (ie. not only "production" but "base tax" too) - it is most certain that provinces (or more like whole areas) didn't have the same relative economical power/potency for four hundred years.
on another note I would also welcome a system in which "technological advance" is slowly shifting from depending purely on monarch power towards depending almost purely on economy (ie. wealth) over time which would make sense historically IMO. but I also understand that it would be really hard to design properly.
