But what's your source on this?
The massive quantity of Chinese tax records. The Zheng clan (very wealth merchants) regularly engaged in transactions equivalent to a million of same time period £s which was larger than the English treasury.

Also I'd like to note that during this period China was prospering while Europe was barely recovering from the black death, echo plagues.

Well they started the country dd's with England who is (arguably) the winner of the time-period, so they'll end with Poland who is (arguably again) the loser of the time-period.
Surely by that argument the Byzantines would be last. I mean, at least the Poles lasted longer than a decade.

England was hardly the wealthiest nation in Europe in 1444. Do you have any actual data on France/Spain/the holy Roman empire/the papacy? Or are you just going to spam these forums with random pro Chinese lies?

- so for beginning maybe you will provide your actual data that contradicts statement of Sun_Wu? Because without it you look like average local yurope-centrist and sinophob.

I have a suggestion for the Polish National Ideas...

The 7 Polish National Ideas:

1. Independent Nobles: -10% Discipline We join and leave the Army as we see fit!
2. Lots of Independent Nobles: +20% higher land force limit Most times we actually show up though!
3. Winged Hussars: +1 Bonus to shock rating If we chose to show up we’re awesome! At least until that gunpowder thingy starts to kick in for real.
4. Lots and lots of Independent Nobles: 50% more expensive stability I don’t want to be stable, do you?
5. Intolerance: 10% more expensive technology One thing we can all agree on: let’s burn those heretic spawn-of-the-Devil domestic Protestants!
6. The Deluge: 20% less tax income Unite and attack them? I don’t think so!
7. The Commonwealth unravels: 50% less production efficiency Dear God, it’s all falling apart…!

Once Poland has acquired all of its national ideas it gets the bonus Partition: 100% less Poland. All Polish provinces distributed to its neighbors.

:p

It might very well be exactly what the devs prepared. ;)

Joking aside, I think that Poland and Lithuania should have different NIs than 'the Commonwealth' tag since without union they would develop differently to OTL.

To be more even more correct, this should be preceded by Tolerance (Warsaw Confederation) - Polish history represents a broad swathe of attitudes towards religious diversity.

England was hardly the wealthiest nation in Europe in 1444. Do you have any actual data on France/Spain/the holy Roman empire/the papacy? Or are you just going to spam these forums with random pro Chinese lies?
England wasn't the wealthiest, but it was wealthy, that's how it managed to fight France in the century war between it and France.

In 1444 France was barely starting to recover from the Black Death+echo plagues, it had been suffering from many famines recently, it wasn't very wealthy, Burgundy is still independent, Brittany isn't part of France etc.

In 1444 Spain didn't even exist yet, heck Isabella I wasn't born yet meaning there was Castile, Aragon, Granada and Navarre in what is now Spain; colonization had not started yet meaning they weren't getting money from colonies so they had little money.

In 1444 the HRE could hardly be called a state, actually you could never really call the HRE a nation.

Do contest that China was wealthier than any single country in Europe? How about 5 times? 10 times?
He was the one who stated that china was twenty times richer than any nation of Europe...it is not my duty to prove why he is wrong, it is his to prove why he was right.
European countries didn't keep very good records compared to China. I can show there were individual merchant families wealthier than wealthy countries, that the grain tax in China was larger than that of the entire harvest of major countries

I'm surprised some people here are not aware of the supreme power the Chinese had in terms of trade a wealth... for time immemorial they were the envy of the world: they had everything they needed for themselves, and also everything everyone else wanted. They dominated trade and for a long time were the wealthiest nation on the planet, and the Europeans eclipsing their monetary power came swiftly, and it didn't take long for China to suddenly lose much of its relevance on the economic scene after Industrialization and colonization began to fire off in the West.
