I'm pretty certain it takes a modder just a few hours to set it up though.

Could you please make it so that we can rename cities as well as provinces (like in EU3)? It does add a lot of immersion to the game, the colonization etc. Especially with the randomized territory (which is a great idea BTW) being able to rename cities after geographical features, leaders etc.

A few suggestions to go along with this expansion. Please randomize the names of the provinces too. I dont feel like seeing Manhatten in the middle of a barren wasteland, thatll just throw me off. Also it would be great if you could make it possible for us to edit the city names in our provinces. I like being given the ability to change both province and city names, in order to better represent my nation and feel involved in proceeding with naming my colonies major towns in the province.

Edit: Also, have will the map appear to us in the lobby where we select nations, what if we want to play in new world, will a map be pre generated for us to see, or will their be a giant "?" over the area until the game starts. It will be hard to manage this especially in MP games where this kind of surprise new world can make a serious change in the game

I know it's a buisness, and you need money. But....


Why is dev time being spent making new saleable content for a game that doesnt work quite right. Do you expect people to actually buy it, when simple bugs like scroll bars or disappearing previously payed for DLC isnt fixed?

Sounds an awful lot like RomeII tactics to me. Make a shitty game with zero features, then try to sell those 'features' later, even when you cant be bothered to fix basic coding errors. I am not saying EU4 is RomeII bad... just saying that is what you want to avoid looking like.

Random maps are cool but more Civ 5 like for me. I like the idea of more North American tribes and less land to colonize so you have to conquer N. American tribes but can still colonize your first few coastal footholds.

Would be nice if on the selection screen instead of the random americas dragons, mythical creatures and things like those were drawn. Or even a waterfall where the world is said to end.

Does this expansion includes a supply system (or any system really) that prevent the UK or Spain to send 50 thousands men able to destroy, unscathed, any lower tech country ?

99% sure it will be - all other game options are. It's just mods and DLC that is set in the launcher. (How do you control mods/DLC in Linux without a launcher? Do you have to manually copy stuff around if you want to play with or without mods?)

What I really want to know is the colony stuff :p
And precisely I hope they will not put the same colonies only depending of the region.
I mean if Canada is colonised by French I hope to see a New-France/Québec dominion ; if it is by British, I want to see a Canada dominion ; if it is by Scandinavian, I want Vinland etc....
I'm not asking for 100 localized colonies for a country but at least I'd say 5-6 by culturegroup.

what about trade nodes with this randomized world? will they make sense? will there be more heading west to asia? theoretically, i suppose, the new world could be as big as eurasia and closer to asia itself than europe (although I'm sure you guys have through the magic of software kept the americas within reasonable reach of the early explorers of europe) so i'd hope there would be more trade between them. Also if there is a northwest passage... would trade go east from asia to europe?
