i really hope they make a new sr3 patch then. Right now the game, bugwise, is in the HoI 1.0-state. Although there were two patches they didn't do much good

Of course they did good. There was a HUGE difference between Svea Rike 3 1.0 and Svea Rike 3 2.0, even though I'd preferred it to have been larger.

but still. re-selling the game outside skandinavia without improving it would, in my not so humble opinion, be an insult to the customers, just as it was when it was released the first time.

this is interesting indeed.. i'd poked around the Svea Rike forums (fruitlessly, as i don't understand the language) as well as looked at screenshots several months ago.

i was curious if it would ever be transported into english.

Can anyone describe the gameplay?


bundled with EU2 1.07? is this for marketing reasons? i'm not sure i understand why.

I think the idea is to sell EU2 again, but to add some bonus stuff (instead of simply releasing the same game again). If it goes well they can make a profit. If it doesn't they didn't waste much money. I hope they fix the manual at least.

If the game concept hasn't changed from Svea Rike I & II then Svea Rike III is a "local Europa Universalis" for swedes. It lets you take the role as the leader of a aristocratic family in 13th century, and your goal is to become elected king of Sweden. You start out with a few "counties" (provinces), and with agriculture, war, trade and culture & science you're suppose to make money, buy land and earn victory points.

It's also a board game, not half as fun as the computer game though.
