With the assistance of Junuxx, the person administrating the old Paradoxian EU3 Wiki, I've moved the wiki over to the Paradox Wikis network. This means that now anyone can edit it, so it should be possible to once more get it up to date.
With this move we should be able to provide better information, even with EU4 looming near. At the very least it will mean that errors will continue to be corrected even as EU4 steals the limelight.

I hope that together we can continue what Paradoxian started, and make the wiki a great resource once more.

On the new wiki is there a difference between the strategy guides and the unification decisions for the nations? An example of this is Great Britain.
Nope. They should be merged with the nation page like I've done for Great Britain.

when i try to make a account i get

you know how to fix this?
Make sure you've got JavaScript enabled, as you need to fill out a CAPTCHA in order to register. It should appear right over where the username is entered.

Hmm, did someone broke the login for this?

Login error

Though all other wiki sites are working perfectly.
Sorry about that. Try now.

Can someone explain to me why the new wiki allows someone to make a profit from the content? I always liked the NC aspect of the license.
A single unobtrusive sidebar ad is necessary to pay for hosting costs. It ensures the wikis can remain up even if at some point I were to completely lose interest in grand strategy (though that is rather unlikely).

OK, makes sense, since I run an ad filter at all times I hadn't noticed this.
I run filters as well, though I do whitelist a few sites I especially want to support.
I do block ads on my own sites though, but that's due to Google getting rather cross when people click ads on their own sites.

The wiki went down today and is now back up, I assume restored from an old version as today's edits have escaped into the ether. Any chance of recovery or are the lost for good?
Lost for good, I'm afraid. All that's left is my alert emails.
The alerts for your edits:

Do those emails contain any info like the RSS would do? I'll hold off repeating the edits until you reply.
It includes the edit summary, if that's what you mean.
Doesn't include the diff itself though.

Example:
The Europa Universalis 3 Wiki page Establish hofkriegsrat has been
changed on 3 August 2014 by Dauth, see
http://www.eu3wiki.com/Establish_hofkriegsrat for the current revision.

See

to view this change.

See

for all changes since your last visit.

Editor's summary: Redirected page to [[Austrian decisions#Establish
Hofkriegsrat]] This is a minor edit
