A gypsy caravan arrives at the court of Felipe IV's in Madrid and inside it is stacked to the roof with fine gold, silver, diamonds, jade, rubies and other fine gems, pottery, spices, wine, silk and two ferocious Bengal tigers. The old man at the helm explains to the guards that these are gifts from the Persian Shah to the great king of Spain. As he enters the outer yard he is confronted by Olibares and he hands him a small envelope and says "My master understands who controls the true power of Spain".
Inside it reads "I send my respect to you, your king and to your Spanish Empire, however I hear with disgust that you are considering aiding the Evil Axis of Russia and the Ottoman Turks. I have no dispute with you and find your reasoning hard to bear, you, yourself have noted the carnage they inflicted on your brothers and sisters in Poland and the atrocities of mass torture the Turks committed in Hungary. I do not send you a threat, but respect and I urge you not to take unwarranted action against me. As for the Evil Axis and any who may support them in war, I send battle hardened troops to greet them at every turn and a promise that no quarter will be given or expected.
the most friendly and most understanding, Great Shah
