The evil Persian Shah is demanding Astrakhan from me. I can't stop him by myself. I think we need a 17th century Christian crusade against the evil heathen Persians.
Do not fight for Gold or Power fight for GOD! Russia may not follow the standard Christian teachings but we d believe in Our Lord Jesus Christ and we call in His name a Holy Crusade against Persia.
Please save the Great Christian Empire of the Rus.

Anyway, Olibares has yet to make up the kings minds regarding a crusade. Spain is still sufferering the effects of State bankruptcy, but expects to rebound soon. In the words of Spain's treasurer Paulo de Keatingo,

Persia was a mighty empire when i seized control two sessions ago. Under my guidance the economy and stability quickly rebounded and the Persian war machine then marched into and gained valuable provinces from the Mughal Empire.
A few years later a war erupted with Tibet and they were subsequently squashed and more provinces gained. News was then received from abroad that the hated Turks were in political instability and that rebel uprisings were a common event.
Encouraged by the Austrian Emperor in secret communications, I declared war and my loyal troops quickly marched across the border. After a few minor setbacks in the campaign the tide turned in my favour and the Turks grew weary of the war ( I suspect there were many more rebel uprisings due to the rivers of blood spilt ).
Peace was signed with Syria, Jordan, Medina, Yeman, Aden, Kurdistan and Arabia absorbed into my territory. In turn, the local Turkish inhabitants were transported to the barren lands of Nepal and sentenced to hard labour for the rest of their miserable lives and the glory of the Persian feats echoed throughout every household on the planet.

Well, that can wait. Anyway, I will almost certainly need a sub for the next session, which will be Dec 20th won't it? I'm leaving for Adelaide that day to see the rellies, so I probably won't be able to play that night, and will need a sub.
I really should get around to updating my other AAR.
Oh yes, we may need to edit Turenne's start date to 1630, and amend his death date to 1675. Peter Ebbesen's scenario hasn't been updated from when this bug was fixed.
