Hive, in what circumstances are you going to attack an AI country *because* it is AI, with the knowledge (or the fear) that it would beat you if it was player controlled?
We always made it clear that Poland, Portugal, Sweden, and Brandenburg were options for players - and Forzaa made it known early on that he wanted to play Poland, way before Russia attacked. I'm not sure that this is a serious enough problem to warrant editing the save. Myself I've made questionable strategic decisions and been punished because of players intervening, it's just the nature of MP.
Not *because* it's AI, but it's obviously much harder when it's a player. She prepared for an AI war, not a player war. BUt if it's like you say, that it was announced long before the war (I can't remember) then it's her own fault..
But I'm pretty sure Spain would be pissed if he go to war with Incas and a player takes over all of a sudden...
There's a huge difference. I wouldn't , as an example, had attacked Songhai if they were player controlled. So if a player jumped in in the middle of the war, I would be pissed.
There's also a difference between attacking a nation with 10k and 100k, right? The player/AI aspect is and indication of power just like army size is.
