Oh...i`m making a lot of sense, far more than you.
If by making sense you mean making wildly inaccurate statements, sure.
You barely spend 4,5% of your GDP on military
Right but 4.5% of our gdp buys tanks whic
Look up the history of Rome, the Ottomans or the British Empire at it`s zenith.
I know the history of all the aforementioned, I even mentioned the British Empire lol. You actually think a roman soldier could beat an american one in combat, one armed with a fully automatic weapon and another with a shield? Tell me, how would Rome deal with our shore bombardment? How would they take out our drones?
Ottomans were barely competitive in WW1, they'd stand no chance against modern military capability.
The British Empire, again, wouldn't stand a chance against our modern military.
Also, they did the math, the British Empire, Mongol Empire, and Roman Empire, each at their greatest extent, if they existed today with each country's MODERN gdp, none would have a GDP the size of the USA's. That's not to say GDP is the end all be all, but it's important.
I guess since you're ignorant I'll educate you. Did you know that the EU (European Union, not Europe itself), has a smaller GDP than the USA? Did you know certain USA states would rank in the top 10 highest GDP countries in the world? (California as an example)
I'll further educate you: Rome was not a sole superpower like the USA was. Many people believe that the Han dynasty in China could have defeated Rome at it's greatest extent at the same time periods.
The Mongol Empire, while large, was not unified nor organized well by modern standards.
Right I forgot, the USA definitely exorcised it's full power on Vietnam, sorry I forgot that part of history (which never happened).
Again, you're confusing absolute power with relative power. We are in absolute terms, undeniably, the strongest country to ever exist militarily. No other country could defeat us head on. In terms of relative strength, we're matched by some others in some ways, but unarguably we're superior to all of them relatively in terms of economic and cultural power, and still competitive in military power. You just don't understand how powerful the USA really is.[/quote]
