If you take the mission it will not expire but the CB that grants reduced vassalization cost will after 10 years. I'm not sure what causes the mission pool the refresh but each time you will risk loosing (or rather not getting again) the mission.

Okay, thanks. Don't CBs get extended once you're at war, though? i.e. If I DoW Teutonic Order 9 years after taking the mission, will I have more than 1 year to still be able to qualify for the reduce vassalization cost from the CB?

Once you declare a war with the CB the war is with that one and to the best of my knowledge nothing can change that.

It is pretty useful with the claim on throne CB since if you are setting yourself up for the war when the other country gets an heir or ruler dies and the heir with weak claim ascends already with an heir of medium/strong claim you have until turn of the month to declare.

Interesting. I know I've seen Gustav, Elizabeth, Suleiman, Louis, and Mr. Native, but I can't recall having seen Isabella, Andrea Gritti, or Catherine. I'll have to keep a lookout for them.

Gritti is also on the WoN cover and Catherine obviously on the AoW cover. I wonder why they didn't make a loading screen with the one from the Res Publica cover though (is it William the Silent?).

I actually thought it was Mehmed II at first, but when I checked Google, I mostly see the picture show up with Suleiman I.

It reads: "Sultan Soliman Khan I^ER - Dixième Empereur Othoman" - Sultan Suleiman I, the Tenth Ottoman Emperor.

60 Base tax. If you get them any bigger, they will lose march status.

Yes. You can vassalize anybody within your religious group. So a sunni can diplo-vassalize any sunni, shiite or ibadi nation. You can vassalize anybody in war regardless of religion.
