A question about personal unions, cores and buildings:

I know with integrating vassals you do not retain the buildings of the provinces and I think it's the same when integrating a junior PU partner through deliberate diplomacy, but how about integration through Monarch death?

ie. Is there any case when the conquest of a province (aside from reconquest) leads to the buildings being preserved?

Yeah you will lose French region to France
But there is way to avoid this..You can annex whole of France, then release them as a vassal. Then you form Netherlands
Everything left in French region that France doesn't have core on will still go to France, but they will stay as your vassal

Though you will lose much income and manpower for giving so much lands..I wouldn't recommend doing that as Burgundy, unless if you really want to be Netherlands. Above tactic is the best solution for keeping yourself safe from France in future + you get half of their force limit and income..

Any province within your culture group will maintain its buildings if you inherit a PU, provinces outside your culture group become cores but lose the buildings.

To the person with the trade going to Kiev instead of Constantinople... My observation on how trade works is as follows:

If your trade power is transferring power then it helps determine how much value in a node stays in place or gets forwarded. Once that value is determined, the direction is determined by a similar steering fight. If only one merchant is actually directing trade in a specific direction (or all merchants actively steering trade) then 100% of the "pushed" value will go where they want it. If multiple directions are being "pushed then they have a steering competition similar to the stay/push competition. If no one at all is directing trade power in a particular direction then it appears to split evenly. Your trade power is pushing money out of Crimea rather than allowing it to "stay home", the Polish (or whoever it might be) merchant pushing towards Kiev is directing your power in that direction because he has no competition trying to push it elsewhere.

edit: in your case, depending on the numbers involved, you may net more by moving your merchant from Constantinople to Crimea. You can collect in Constantinople without a merchant and the 2 power may be pretty irrelevant there. However, to push trade in the direction you want it to go you have to have a merchant, all the power in the world is useless without direction...

Constantinople became Shiite by an event. Now I don't have any possibility to convert it Sunni again, do I?
With religious ideas I would have +3% missionary strength, but it wouldn't enough.

Well, there are also some temporary modifiers from events available, the +2% from an advisor, some decisions, and don't you get a bonus for being pious? That still may not be enough for Constantinople though-some numbers may need tweaking. The blanket power change in the release patch definitely stopped any "all converted in 2 years" complaints but they may have gone too far.. :/

And which are those french regions? i mean they must have cores on them or the population must be french? or they are hardcoded?

I get:

Base: 2
Pious: 3
Advisor: 2
Decision: 1
Stab: 1.5
Fort: 0.4 (if forts not maxed)
Religious Idea: 3
Narrowminded event: 1 (is imho from Innovation Idea)

All together 13.9. Maybe even higher if there are some religious idea events.

Is there any way to improve your own relation towards another country (being your own view of them, not their view of you)?

Getting military acces from them, fleet basing rights, royal marriage, rivals or if they improve their reputation

What exactly is required to get the "Colonial Conquest" CB? QFNW? I'm playing as the Ottomans, so most of Asia is already discovered and ready for conquest

Can colonies "be colonised by themself"? I know how strange it sounds, but apparently I noticed that although I have sent 2 colonists to colonise, I have 3 colonies. One of them appeared on Cuba next to my lately settled province. How did it happend?

Due to the ironman, I cannot check the former gamesaves.

I had an event that said some entrepreneurial Colonial Company had been encouraged by our policies to set up a colony as a private venture next door to my colony in Sierra Leone. Looks like you had same.

Hey. How do you get less attrition with your navies (other than with explorers)? I'm finding it difficult to reach certain points in the map without destroying my ships. Is it any technology level, or idea group? I didn't see it.
