Can you speed up the decay of the annexed vassals oppinion modifier?
Assuming that this is a gameplay question rather than a modding question:

You can speed up the decay of all decaying opinion penalties by acquiring Better Relations Over Time bonuses, such as hiring a Diplomat advisor (+30% BROT) or completing the Religious idea group.

25 years of not annexing any vassal erases the penalty, same goes for HRE diplo annexations, aggressive expansion, and basically all other decaying penalties.

Thank you both!

What exactly does the 'King dies' event for Burgundy do? How does it make them weaker?

I don't know exactly how it works, but it triggers events for another country (usually Austria) to inherit the northern half, and for France to get the southern half.
Personally I love games where it doesn't fire :)

Decided to try to form Egypt as Mamluks today, and to go a weird direction, I decided to try and befriend the Ottomans, which was actually very easy. They instantly allied with me, and royal marriaged up, and I brought them up to 125 of liking me considerably. I'd heard if countries are below 100, they can rival you, but he was at 124 when he rivaled me. Is this a glitch, or an error, or just some bullshit situation with the ottomans and Mamluks specifically?

Ottomans have couple missions to get land in Mamluks region. Once they take it they insta hate you until it expires (which is couple decades I belive). AI also seems to rival someone just about their power if there is no real threat to rival around.
Could be also a bug where they desire your whole land. Way around it is to avoid any border with them.

But I don't border them, and they didn't desire any land. They were at 124 and they were suddenly "RIVAL". I thought they made it so that can't happen anymore. It literally happened twice, I tried it again.

So I'm Abyssinian and Orthodox in my game, and while Byzantium rivals me, they tend to leave me alone, until they get the mission 'Restore the Pentateuchy'. I've got Alexandria and Aleppo converted to Orthodox, but Judea has been a tough nut crack. If I had managed to convert Judea to Orthodox, would they have left me alone? The problem is that they've got more than double my army, at 100,000 troops, to my 30,000. if I were to just allow them to take that land, would they stop there? Or would they try to take more of it. Problem is, they've got cores on most of the land in around arabia peninsula, and at the current point in my game, those cores will only vanish in about another 20-30 years.

EDIT:I've also got access to the same mission 'Restore the Pentateuchy'. If I grab it first, will that prevent Byzantium from taking it?

You need 5 cored provinces in a colonial region to form a colonial nation, colonies don't count.
If you use the colonial regions mapmode you will see for example that Demeara and Essequibo are in colonial Guyana. You need to finish these colonies + 1 other province to form it.

Did you do what VivianneLaFolle suggested? It's a different zoom level, but the colonies look the same as your previous screenshot.

Looks like you still have four in two different regions.

...use the colonial regions mapmode

If i relase nation in a peace deal, that has provinces of my main culture, will i lose cores that i had there? If i give core back to other nations where i had core, will I lose core there?

edit: Nevermind, you just gotta believe and never give up
