Tributary overlord does not protect versus coalition AFAIK.. even if enemy warleader is not a tributary of theirs.
I gave it a test ingame: The overlord gets a call to arms, but the AI has -60 reasons to accept it because "Our Tributary State has brought this coalition upon themselves".

I am England. I have some Irish Minor as my vasall and i want to feed them the whole of Ireland and some time annex them.
Also England has in the standard-mission tree a mission that gives you a subjugation-CB against Scotland.
Do I gain anything anyhow by using that subjugation CB, instead of waging a normal war against Scotland, where I feed Scotland to my Irish Vasall, who I will annex anyways?

There is no point in feeding Scotland to an Irish Vassal. You can annex Scotland for free by a decision. Using the subjugation CB reduces the vassalization WS cost to something managable and removes the diplo-point cost.

Till which Date do I have to change all the Dutch-Culture provinces to another Culture to not have trouble with the netherlands?
So till which date do I have to conquer them considering separatism?
The Dutch revolt events start in 1550 and default separatism is 30 years and culture conversion takes up to 25 years(for a 30 development province), but expel minorities is faster for high-dev provinces.
But even if you have no dutch provinces, you can get the dutch revolt events if the Netherlands somehow manage to get a core on one of your provinces.

Is it possible to crush the Dutch Revolts or is it so overpowered, that, if they occur, the player HAS TO let the Netherlands be released?

You can fight it, but the rebel count is really large. You have to sit a full army there basically. Did that in my Yuan game, had a stack of combat witdth cav to deal with them.

You can crush them if your army is big enough. IIRC the rebels stacks are between 25k and 35k. But depending on the circumstance, you can get them every 5-10 years for for every province that meets the conditions.
But if I read the events correctly, you can avoid the two events that are on the wiki if you have at least 1% autonomy in the provinces. And the first event will only fire once and the second event will only fire once per province. But there is a third event(flavor_bur.18), that is not in the wiki and that can fire if the Netherlands exist:
Code:
# PROVINCENAME Revolts!

Quick question:
Can you get the achievement "I'll graze my horse here.. And here..." if you form the Mongolian Empire?

I'm assuming not, because it requires Steppes Nomads government and forming the Mongolian Empire gives you the Great Mongol State (which has similar bonuses).
But there is a small hope that it's possible, because it would make sense: The Mongolian Empire is the only state in history that would come close to conquering 200 grain/livestock provinces.

Subsidiary question: Does the Mongolian Empire get access to Mongolian missions and events (particularly the convert culture one) from the Manchu patch?

How can I not constantly be behind in tech as a Mesoamerican nation?
Behind in time or behind your neighbors? Do you have the El Dorado DLC?
With the El Dorado DLC, you are supposed to stay behind in time until the Europeans arrive. In that time you do your five religious reforms and once you border a country that has the feudalism reform, you can reform your religion. That gives you 80% of the technology of the neighbor from which you reformed. If you saved up enough points, you can get a few more technologies very cheap, because the neighbor discount doesn't update till the next month tick. I usually only go to admin tech 5(for exploration ideas), dip tech 3(increased coring range and settlers), and as much mil tech as my neighbors before reforming and then use the time to conquer all of Mexico and some of Peru.

Unfortunately I don't know how all of this works without the El Dorado DLC.

Behind in time or behind your neighbors? Do you have the El Dorado DLC?

I have all DLC. In 1600, I'm 15/12/15 while Europe is on tech 16.

With the El Dorado DLC, you are supposed to stay behind in time until the Europeans arrive. In that time you do your five religious reforms and once you border a country that has the feudalism reform, you can reform your religion. That gives you 80% of the technology of the neighbor from which you reformed.

I didn't reform off of the Europeans, I used hot cheddar on reformed in 1500 with Feudalism and Renaissance dev-pushed beforehand.

Why in my Burgundy to Netherlands game do I have to give up Picardy for free to France when I form the Netherlands, and then have a mission asking me to retake that state, while I've been allied with France for centuries. Am I missing something? Just when I was getting back in the game, I get hit with another piece of illogical design.

Sorry for the rant.
