It's probably the decay of prestige, I have -4.31 right now. Hovering over the prestige doesn't indicate what's causing it to be that way. But generally if your nation is in a bad shape the decay will be high or maybe the more prestige you have the more it decays, or so I think.

Natural decay. It's sort of like this: people recognize our prestige (based on current value), but we're not really doing anything right now, so our prestige is going down

Thanks. The explanation aboout "natural decay" matches with what I thought before writing my question, because de decay parameter began to going down as my prestige was also going down. Maybe it's a "balance" parameter for not having a too high prestige for a long time if you don't make anything in order to preserve that level.

As Hungary I acquired a province (Krakow) that had a University. After the conquest the university is gone.... (that's why I attacked in the first place :D)
Is this a bug or is it supposed to be like this?

1. No. Unless you're at war in which case the war screen tells you what the enemy alliance has.

2. Plunder.

I just allied with Bosnia who was already at war with Serbia. Is there a way for me to join their war without starting my own?

I thought there was a "support ally" causus belli. Is there not? Also, you can always tell Serbia to end the war or else with the "enforce peace" diplomatic action.

How can I become the emperor of the HRE? Playing as Castile, trying to get the achievement.

Castile is not in the HRE and is way too big to join, so you cannot. If you really want to do that as Castile, well, you could lose all your lands, claim a single province next to the HRE, join the HRE, and then try to convince the emperor to make you an elector and convince everyone else to vote for you...

Better option: Start a new game as someone in the HRE instead.

Are light ships useful at all in naval combat or is the ideal battle fleet supposed to be composed of only big ships? Is there a bonus in having a balanced fleet of 50% big ships and 50% light ships like in V2 or HOI3?

Interesting side note. You don't have to be IN the HRE to be voted for. In my current game several of the electors started voting for Poland as the next Emperor. And as an elector you can cast your own vote for anyone in the world. That also happened in real life. Spain was the Emperor. So was Richard of Cornwall.

Now, how you get them to vote for you over Austria, I don't know. Really high relations and poor imperial authority? When I saw them voting for Poland they were at war with Austria.

They're next to useless. You need very large quantities in order to defeat a fleet which contains big ships. 4-1 or more, in my experience, and even then it's not going to be pretty.

Same experience here. I had a pirate with 1 large ship appear off the Cape colony. Rather than send a a few men-o-war down from Europe, I dispatched my Ivory Coast trade fleet to deal with them. 5 light ships vs 1 heavy ship. I lost and the pirates captured most of them. Heavy ships are bad news. You need heavy ships to fight them.
