Giving land from co-participant in war still gives malus -20 trust and no land given. Is it WAD? Especially when I co-DoW and ally wants land from both.
Seems unintuitive. Also AI sometimes refuses to get land, so when it accepts, it shouldn't give malus.

Does anyone know why I can't flip these provinces to myself?

Just for more information; this was a defensive war that I joined when I vassalised Haasa.

Its a known bug. Flip to Vassal that doesn't want it and they'll flip it to you hopefully, though sometimes to the war leader.

As emperor, you can't add your capital to the HRE without dropping to duchy rank. Tested it this patch. But from the sound of things, if you're not emperor, adding your capital to the HRE (with + emperor opinion) might let you keep rank.

Following up on this after some console testing, I believe this was changed a few patches ago even though the popup says differently. Adding capital as emperor will not actually drop your govt. rank. I have not tested this with more than one tag as a regular HRE member instead of emperor. But I tried adding capital to the HRE as emperor with several tags and it did not drop my govt. rank from empire.

I just did some console testing as well, joined the HRE as a regular member with Riga, Serbia and Venice and kept Kingdom rank even though the tooltip suggested something else. I think we can now safely assume that joining the HRE does not affect goverment rank anymore.

I last tried it in 1.20, adding myself to the empire as emperor Spain, & I'm about 90% sure I became a duchy.

As the Ottomans, should I disinherit a 4/5/3 heir?
That's only 12 total. I'd shoot for the 14-16 range with 5-6 ADM.

If your current ruler is at least 30, you still have the Ottoman government (didn't change religion), and you have the prestige, yes.
If your ruler's not yet 30, I'd probably still do it.

EDIT: Also, not that it applies in this case, but important to remember: Pre-1.23, to keep the Janissaries, you always want a ruler with at least 5 in one stat. Not sure about the 1.23 changes, however...

When full annexing a senior partner of a PU, what happens to the junior if you are non catholic? Does he get independence or become a vassal?

In that case, the junior partner would become independent. But that is not because of religion, it is because PU members always become independent if the senior partner is annexed.
However, if you vassalized the senior partner then you would take over the PU and it doesn't matter whether you are Christian or not.

There is nothing in the game that forbids non-Christians to lead a PU, it's just a very unlikely thing to happen because they cannot marry Christians. But if they somehow manage to acquire a PU by other means, it is perfectly valid.

I had to that that you can be christian, get a PU and flip to any other religion and keep your PU.

What's the cutoff for AI opinion that prevents them from rivaling you? 50 or 100?
They cannot go hostile over 100, but afaik there is nothing about rivalries. 80 trust means they can't rival you however.

What happened to the National Bank event? It no longer lets you change your loan size and instead you've to choose between fifty years of -1 interest or -0.05 yearly inflation. I'm confident this is not a very recent change as I'm sure I've seen the current choices before, I just didn't realise it replaced the loan size change. Is it possible anymore to change your loan size other than dip tech and development?

it was changed in 1.20 or 1.21. So yeah, no more huge loansize anymore.
