Playing Chagatai to Mughals and I'm an empire. I can change the capital to Delhi. I've already accepted 2 Indian, 1 Chinese, and Afghan culture. What happens to these if I switch? Do I get Indian slots back?

Empires get cultural union of all cultures in the same group as their primary culture so yes.

Right, but will I get the 2 Indian slots back to assign to some other culture? Do I get diplo mana back if not? Also, there are 9 cultures in my current Altaic group but only 4 in Hindustani so it seems like changing might not be a good idea?

Note that moving your capital doesn't change your primary culture, it's just a step in the process (well it used to be, not sure if it even matters any more) unless you're talking about a decision/event that specifically does so.

Yes, Mughals get a special decision to move capital to Delhi and convert culture. I don't think it's usually worth taking if you already have a large empire that's not in India.

Does whether a province is a state or a territorial core matter for gold production? The production tooltip seems to imply that it doesn't (it doesn't say anything about a penalty), but that seems too good to be true?

Tested it - it definitely matters. I was just confused because the tooltip doesn't mention anything about a penalty for gold even though it does for other trade goods.

Autonomy reduces gold production so you never want to give an estate to such a province either. A gold trading company province should be fine with the latest version.

How do people do AARs? Do they save a video recording of the campaign, then after it's done review the tape and write about it?

i make TONS of f12 screenshots, and then look at the screenshots to re-live the campaign in detail. so make screenshots of everything that isimportant.. from wars to economy to idea groups to strategy.

then select screenshots you want to write your aar with, and discard the rest.

screenshots from using f12 are saved in steam/userdata/xxxx/screenshots with xxxx being the number for EU4 game under steam.

They removed the minimum participants in 1.21 iirc as I got a coalition of 2 members very recently.

When exporting the game from ck2 as a doge, what happens to my trade posts? Do they increase development or stay as trade posts in eu4? And for that matter, what happens to silk road trade posts as well?

Is there any way to load a save which has DLC you're missing? I'm unable to load a save which has the Mandate of Heaven DLC, which is really inconvenient.
