I myself have a question : I recently started a Castille game. I grabbed Labort from England and when I tried to release Gascony to get free reconquest CB vs France, I saw I couldn't. Is it a bug or did I miss something ?
The province called Labourd has Basque culture, in the Iberian group. The country called Gascony has Gascon culture, in the French group.

Thus, if Labourd is the only Gascony core you own, you can't release Gascony as a vassal.

I really don't understand the battle system in EU IV. Why do I get terrain penalty in below case? OE was first in the province, but my leader got 4* Manouver and they don't even have a leader!

Maneuver checks if you get a crossing penalty (from crossing rivers or straits or even amphibious attacks IIRC)

How can I move to Marienburg ? I guess that since Danzig and Konisberg have a strait in between, the game thinks that I should not be able to move further into the Teutons' territory.
I can't get access through Poland (rivals), I don't have any boat (since the goal of the war is to capture my first coastal province), and I can't take another route, mainly through the south, since it's either controled by the Poles or their subjects

And of course, I can't finish the war and take the province I want if I don't besiege Marienburg ...

It means that the pool of advisors from which you can recruit will be increased by one. So, if you have three advisors offered to you when you try to fill a vacancy then you would see a fourth with this idea.

Latest try with Granada, got thrown out of Spain. Now most of my provinces are Berber. Would I gain coast-raiding traditions by making that culture primary?
No. The coast-raiding tradition is (currently; I dare say they might change it in future now that cultures can apply national modifiers) attached to the national ideas, not the culture.

Is there any benefit to staying a republic once age of absolutism kicks in, at all?

Got a Florence game going where I own most of the peninsula and just waiting for a truce timer to expire with Venice for one province while beating up Africans, but could go Tuscany for government switch before tag switching to Italy. In the early 17th century currently.

Because having a larger advisor pool to pick from increases the chances of being able to get the advisor you want.
Does it deserve an idea slot?
No, but who cares? It's part of the Administrative idea group, whose second idea is worth an entire Idea Group all by itself.

if you full annex tunis and become tunis after making tunisian primary culture, you can in fact raid coasts, yes. and still do achievement.

but granada ideas are way better to keep, rather then switching tradition sets.

That's not really a quick questions to answer. it depends on alot of factors and some will say this and other that. You just have to use your judgement as to what is the best option going forward from what you know about your end goal.

Yes, they added that a few patches ago (1.16) and I think it's for non-ironman games only.
Oh I see. No wonder I didn't notice. I'm mostly an iron-man player and only recently did I start trying out some mods again. Thanks for the answer!

I created a trade city as Venice. A few months later they declared a war on their opm neighbour and annexed them and therefore leaving my trade league. This is not an intended behaviour or is it? I have never played a merchant republic before so I am not sure how this should be working

Currently going for an ideas guy run, started with one province close to Cape in South Africa. After a while I started to conquer the spice islands, setting up trade companies in the region. Everything's going fine.

All of a sudden my Malaccan trade company disappeared. I did NOT turn any of the provinces into a state, nor did I do anything else that should make it vanish. The only thing I did, which may or may not be related, is that I moved my capital from my starting province. I moved it from Xhosa to Cape to fullfil the objective "large capital" in Age of revolutions. The provinces are close to each other, and in the same node.

Not only is my company gone, I can no longer make a trade company in any of the provinces in the Malacca node.

My companies in The Moluccas and Philippines are still there. Does anyone have a clue about what's going on? Would be greatly appreciated.
