I'm not getting my +5 FL from colonial nations. Was that removed in the last patch or is there some hidden requirement for it? Still getting the naval FL and the extra merchant.

has_harem I believe enables the Ottoman Government harem intrigue events

can_use_trade_post, can_form_trade_league, and I believe boost_income (not positive about that one) enable the merchant republic abilities (assuming you own the applicable DLCs for trade posts and trade leagues, the production boost doesn't require DLC as far as I'm aware)

has_parliament enables the Parliament system

is_trading_city most likely enables the special abilities of free imperial cities (cheaper development, calls HRE into all defensive wars, limited to a single province)

Thank you!
Three more questions:

1) If no country attacks France (as the country where the Revolution appears) for stopping the Revolution, beside the penalty for Counter Revolution, will there be other events/downsides of the Revolution? Does it spread like the Reformation, for example? Will it affect my Portuguese Monarchy in any way?

2) If my truce with France ends, will the penalty for Counter Revolution re-activate?

3) If yes, will another truce (of any kind) get rid of the penalty, right?

Not sure if anyone noticed the questions above, this is why I repost them.

As about a Casus Belli, the "Aggresive expansion modifier" of 75%, for example, should be unterstood like:

a) requiring 75% of 100%; that is, it reduces the base with 25% of the normal value
b) 75%+100%=175%; that is, it will increase the base with (only) 75%
c) reducing the base (100%) with 75%; that is, it will cost 25% of the normal value

I suppose c) is the way it works, but just wanted to be sure about it... If this is true, then Colonialism should be the best CB to take provinces...

It will be option a - the base cost will reduce by 25% before adding other modifiers into the mix. And remember that the CB only gives those discounts to relevant provinces so, for example, colonialism will only give that 25% discount to the provinces listed in the declare war screen.

If I form Germany as Prussia, do I lose my splendor bonus in Age of Revolution?

From watching @Florryworry_ streaming his most recent completed EUIV campaign, it appears that you do keep the bonus. It will appear to have been deselected in the Ages interface but checking your government tab to see all of your country bonuses you will see that it is still listed.

It is not clear whether this is intended behaviour or whether this will be changed in a future patch.

No, that doesn't explain it. If Lux are [co-belligerent], Lux gets the call on the day that you declare, which is the same day your allies get the call.

I dont see, why you take this as a reason, that it doesnt explain it. For me this explains everything.
Also the wiki says
"Guaranteeing a nation calls the guarantor to war if the target nation is directly attacked by another nation. The guarantor will not be called to war if the guaranteed nation is called into another war as an ally, unless they are called in as a co-belligerent."

So my lesson from this is, dont declare someone a co-belligerent, if you dont want to fight the guarantor.

Hi,

during age of revolution what do mean: "conquest without restriction" (which say "allow to ignore distance of legitimation" ; = 5th option to take for 800 splendor)?

I think you refer to the ability which allows you to take any province, even those outside of your coring range

You can even take provinces completely surrounded by other countries

Before I file a bug report - am I just stupid or doing something wrong? I cannot uncheck the "compress save" button. It just doesn't appear to do anything. (Aslo, compress autosaves is not active, but the autosves appear to be compressed anyway, they're the same size (8 meg) as the regular saves.)

I know can't load with a RNW, but does it stop you uncompressing saves as well...?

Q: Are trade goods in uncolonized provinces in Siberia randomly generated? I think in my last playthrough i had a gold mine in Sayan, now there's a gold mine in Penzhina, but i'm not sure if there was any before.

Yes, this is the way it works in every colony. It used to be quite random, but these days you can actually hover over the question mark icon in a province and it'll tell you what goods you can discover and the exact odds.

What countries get missions or events helping them form Persia? If more than one, or none, what countries are the best suited for forming her?

I've seen people suggest starting as Timmy, but that doesn't seem right

Timmy is probably the easiest because you basically own all requiered provinces and the few you don't own, you can grab them easily. But if I wanted to form Persia myself I'd probably try with Tabarestan. It's quite a challenge, but I'd feel it more accurate and rewarding.

I myself have a question : I recently started a Castille game. I grabbed Labort from England and when I tried to release Gascony to get free reconquest CB vs France, I saw I couldn't. Is it a bug or did I miss something ?

Is this normal that with 1.20 and with confuscianism "harmonisation" of faiths, I cannot culture change a province with a religion harmonised to confusianism? I basically have no way to convert that province anymore, so am I stuck with the non accepted culture?

tabarestan or ardalan? you could form zoroastrian persia, if you are quick enough.

Like, form classical age Persia all over again.
