Before the Current patch, I don't remember the Sengoku CB requiring Claims to reduce AE and not pay diplo points for taking provinces, is this working as intended?

Also before the Current patch, I don't remember war for the Emperor causing a stability and war exhaustion hit. Is this as intended?

How can I become league leader as Sweden? I'm Protestant, I have German culture as my main culture, I'm an elector, and I was emperor so I've added all my territory to the HRE. I own basically all of the coast from de jure Denmark to sweden going round the baltic, and I have norway and denmark as my own clay.

In the great powers list I'm 3rd after ottomans and Ming, so I don't know what else to do, Bohemia is sitting there and they're arguably the weakest of the large nations in the HRE.

Thanks!

If Bohemia is at war, it will lose the leader status. I don't know if it'll be enough for you to get it and keep it.

I have question regarding incidents. I did 3(as Japan, Shogun and independet Daimyo) runs so far and in none of them Nanban Incidents(same goes for urbanization) never popped up. Are these incidents bugged or there is some hidden condition that i'm not aware of? I'm about to do 4th run for Sakoku acheivements and i'm at my limits of patience.

I just peaced out in a war against the Teutonic Order w/ allies, against me and Poland-Lithuania (I'm Muscovy). Suddenly I got 0 war exhaustion. Is still normal? I thought it was gonna slowly decrease, regardless of peacing out or not. I didn't unconditionally surrender AFAIK, I just accepted their terms of monetary compensation and annul treaties with Poland

When you lose a war you get negative modifiers removed or reduced. So, for example, if you lose a war and have to give a 100% peace deal then you will lose all war exhaustion even if it has reached the maximum of 20. If your peace deal is only for 50% then you would lose 10 war exhaustion.

In your case it sounds like you had a limited amount of war exhaustion and so the cost of your peace deal was enough to remove all of the war exhaustion that you were suffering.

Soo, I have a savegame that states "Achievements cannot be earned during this session because reasons". It's the only one that does that (aside from it's autosave), I'm online, can start other Ironman games, the saves are in the cloud, I have no mods active, restarted the game multiple times.

Can I savely assume that this game is lost for me?

Anyone?

Right and if you want to mess up another nation with War Exhaustion get a White Peace so that all his Exhaustion remains. The truce will also only be for 5 years.

Does government rank matter for becoming or making a tributary? I'm considering upgrading to Empire but want to remain under OP Ming.

Government Rank plays a part in willingness to become a tributary (on the AI side) but an Empire can be a tributary under Ming.

I am not sure what happend. But in my last game as Japan i had some colonies in Californa and Mexico. But somehow spain was able to decalre war against them and conquer them, without that i was called in.
How is that possible? I lost both Colonial states without one chance to fight for them.

If Spain had high relations with a nation they went to war with (say a Spanish CN) and used enforce peace and was rejected I don't think you get called in. You get called in if their CN calls them in, not if they basically start a war with Spain that way.

I think there's something wonky here. I had Spain declare on my Japanese CN as well (directly, not any sort of enforce, etc). You can enforce peace on Spain, but you may not KNOW of Spain even though they attacked your dependent. That seems like a bug to me. The work-around I found was to send a conquistador off to find me direct Spanish land so I could properly enforce peace.

There are two ways to give a province to a vassal:

1. Transfer occupation to them during the war. It's a button on the province screen. Then when you make your peace deal, ask for that province and it'll automatically go to your vassal.

2. There is a subject interaction called Grant Province or something along those lines. You can use that when at peace.

They have control the province. A vassal will only occupy a province in their name if they have a claim or core; otherwise it is occupied in your name. An ally typically transfers occupation to you if they don't have a claim or core, but if they have marked it as a province of interest, that can also be enough for them to keep control of the occupation.

You can grant provinces to your vassals after the peace treaty, and they actually appreciate that more than gaining land from the treaty, so that's something to consider.

This depends on what DLC you are running. If you have the Art of War DLC then you can transfer the occupation of provinces to them before making peace (and then make Novgorod cede those provinces to your ally or vassal as part of the peace deal). To do this you click on the individual province and there is an icon showing who currently occupies it on the right hand side of the window. If you can change this there will be an arrow next to it and clicking on that will open a list of potential countries to transfer it to.

If you do not have Art of War and provinces are occupied by someone other than the country you want to take that province then, from memory, there is nothing you can do to transfer it.

As for your subjects, if you take provinces in your own name you can then transfer them to your subjects whilst you and they are both at peace. This can be done through the subject interactions available on the subjects tab where you are looking for "Transfer province" (or maybe "Cede province"). This may also be DLC dependant but I cannot remember which DLC.

When suing for peace, after laying out a can of woop--- on Novgorod -- how do I give my allies /vassals some of that tasty over extension (can't figure out how to give them provinces).

Thanks in advance

Press F1, go to subjects (next to last tab before estates), click on subject and interactions with vassal will open, one of them is grant province.

You missed a step.

Bermuda works for NA because it's on the NA continent but doesn't work for SA because it's not in a colonial region. You just need to move your capital into a colonial region, although you might have to move it to the SA mainland since moving it to the NA mainland from Bermuda may be prohibited (I forget).

And how can I move my capital? Game doesn't allow me to. And if it did can I colonize Australia without spawning a CN?

Once a game ceases to be Ironman compatible there is no way to get that status back, as far as I know.

Great, how does that even happen? Isn't the savegame in the "cloud" partly to avoid something like this?
