So I am playing as a Poland and i have few questions regarding Elective Monarchy:
1.What are those yellow and green numbers next to heirs (and percentage values)?
View attachment 250968
2.Can I support any of those candidates which are on the list?
3.Is there any way to add new candidaty (my choise)?
I believe as Poland/PLC, you can only "support" those candidates by building relations with their country. You can sacrifice prestige to boost your current dynasty's candidate, but I've found that to be very ineffective since it's a one time boost and then you quickly get overtaken by other nations who provide a continuous boost to their candidate.

I don't know of any way to add a new candidate.

Ladislaus (the Hungarian heir) must die before the end of 1456 and must not get instantly replaced when he does
Is it not that Hungary does not have an heir, not that Ladislaus dies without getting replaced? Ladislaus comes of age in 1455. So all that you need is for him to not get an heir when the regency council is over.

I don't know of any way to add a new candidate.

And to answer #1, the green numbers and the yellow numbers (not the age) are both "current support" -- highest wins. Some are green because that candidate is being actively boosted by the nation in question, with the noted percent chance per month to increase that support number.

Generally speaking, I was with Stonehands77 on this -- unless your own candidate is spectacular (strong stats and young), it's often best to let it ride and get whoever you get. You cannot add a candidate, period.

In the wiki it reads:
"a group can only be picked as long as its affiliated monarch power doesn't consist more than 50% of the idea group composition the nation holds at the time. This limit can be turned off before starting a game and works on Ironman."

Does this mean that I can turn the restriction off and still get achievements? I can't find any documentation of this change anywhere.

No. Ironman/achievements require the idea group limitation. You can turn it off by editing the defines file, which negates ironman.

Playing as Bharat after starting as Vijagagaga-something, I thought after forming Bharat conquering all of India would be a bit more cheap but I still have to spend hundreds upon hundreds of Admin Monarch points to core the provinces as it only gives -25% reduction and half of India is +50% due to traditions AND high dev af.
Except core-creation idea (which I can't take cos I need all admin points for techs + coring), is there anything else that would cheapen conquering India?
I find using a vassal so cumbersome and don't like it very much, so I hope that's not the only option...

You don't even have to edit the defines file, just switch the option from under the options menu's general tab when you create a new game. The same one where difficulty and wasteland color and suc are. And if you for example change lucky nations off and the idea group restrictions off from the menu and try to start an ironman game there will be an button that say: "Change Settings to allow Achievements." When you click the button it only switches the lucky nations to historical and leaves the idea group restrictions off. So... appears that the devs didn't tell people that they made this change.

I didn't realise the chances were so slim. I also thought that the AI always took certain decisions, unless they're a lucky nation, but not in this case? It honestly feels like when Austria is AI controlled you can set your watch by it.
You can still get;
The decline of Hungary.

  • is not a subject nation.
  • is not the Holy Roman Emperor.
  • is a neighbour of Austria.
  • does not have more provinces than Austria.
  • has a total development of less than 200.
Acquisition chance
Base weight: 3000

Modifier:
  • Austria has lower than 0 opinion of Hungary: ×2
  • At least 1 province of Northern Transylvania, Southern Transylvania and Slovakia is not owned by Hungary or its subjects: ×2
  • At least 1 province of Northern Transylvania, Southern Transylvania and Alföld is not owned by Hungary or its subjects: ×2
  • At least 1 province of Slovakia and Alföld is not owned by Hungary or its subjects: ×2
  • At least 1 province of Northern Transylvania, Southern Transylvania, Slovakia and Alföld is not owned by Hungary or its subjects: ×3

you can either wait for administrative efficiency, or go through with vassals anyway.

plus point of vassals is that if you find a dead country which has a lot of cores, you can take one core to create a vassal of it and then reconquer the rest of their land for almost no AE nor diplo points. same case with almost dead countries, just vassalize them and reconquer the land for them.

Yes. This change was implemented in patch 1.19, and AFAIK is Ironman-compatible.
So... appears that the devs didn't tell people that they made this change.
They did tell us, it's in the patch notes.

Sending a privateer fleet to Constantinople as Castille. The mission is accepted and power projection (Ottomans rivalled) goes up once I unpause. But once the ship moves one sea tile, the fleet stops and loses its mission automatically. Any ideas what is happening here?

Except core-creation idea (which I can't take cos I need all admin points for techs + coring), is there anything else that would cheapen conquering India?
I find using a vassal so cumbersome and don't like it very much, so I hope that's not the only option...

India is roughly equivalent to Iberia, France, and Britain combined. It should take a while to conquer it, even with the perma-claims. You are wrong about adaptability as well, you should definitely get it. You'll more than make back the 800 points it costs to get just by conquering India and that idea also reduces coring time which means you'll be able to conquer it far more quickly. A 50% total discount on coring cost/time is nothing to sneeze at.

Do I lose my Claim on Throne CB if I break the Royal marriage with a country I claimed his throne; and I'm waiting for the truce to run out to not pay the Diplo upkeep?

Yes. You also lose your claim to their throne.

are you sure @brifbates? never console tested this..

i am pretty sure if you claim throne of an ally and then break Alliance, and they going hostile and rivalling you and THEM breaking royal marriage, does not remove YOUR claim.

it isn't same situation, but still.. I should console test this :)

That is correct, Austria broke the the RM and I still have the CB.

Problem now is that I have to fight a war against around 120 FL Austrian Alliance with my FL of 70, and my Space Marines are still not quite ready.
