I have a specific example as well: I managed to colonize the whole Cape colonial region (that is, I lanlocked the inner potential colonies, by getting the seaside ones). In this case, does it make any sense in adding all of them to my trading company, or is it enough to have a one-region trading company, since there should be no other country with acces to this colonial region (--> 100% province trade value in Cape trade node anyway)?
I am asking this, because, if I am not wrong, I would anyway get the extra-merchant without having to lose the manpower/tax "bonus" because of the trading company. Or do the benefits pay for all the provinces added to the trading company (not sure if the doubled trade bonuses here actually count at all in the next trade nodes, that's my main problem)?
PS: I play as Portugal and I control the Seville trade node, but still struggling against Castille to control the Ivory Coast and still a few provinces away to get control of Safi from Morocco.
