If the Spanish king dies while they are at negative prestige then the PU will break.
So huge Spain has a large Commonwealth under a PU. Can I cancel that via war and how much war score would I need? Any other strategies for getting them to break away? LD is at 0%.
I started a custom nation based in North America (Newfoundland), and found upon game start (in 1444) that I could already see all of Europe, which I haven't been able to do with my previous custom nations based roughly in the same place. Is this something new, or is it due to me selecting "Norwegian" as my primary culture?
Western tech group?
* negative opinion of the overlord not negative prestigeIf the Spanish king dies while they are at negative prestige then the PU will break.
Cheaper might be supporting rebels of a type that can break a union. Last I checked, these were: Pretenders (in the Junior partner only), Religious, Government type (to a type invalid for a PU). If you declare in support, I *think* you only need to get to about 50% war score.you can cancel any subject for 100% in 'cancel subject' tab on peace deal window, even if said subject is 400+ warscore.
trouble is, getting that 100%![]()
Colonial Mapmode shows you what provinces you can currently colonize, and if you mouse over any province in that map mode, the tooltip will tell you how far away it is (and what your current range is).
Not BEFORE I took exploration. I cant see north america, yet.
Thats why I would like a map that shows which range reaches which provinces.
Start a new game and use the console command to remove terra incognita (ti) and then use the Colonial Mapmode to check the needed range. Conquering provinces can of course change the Effective Distance.
Dip tech 7 + the third Exploration idea = 412.5 Colonial Range
Thank you, thats helpful.
Could somebody maybe do that really quick? I am not asking because of laziness, but my recent game is open and if I quit it for this test, when I return all AIs will change their rivals and that could change everything again. (so annoying)
For the test lets just take england.
Sure. Without any additional provinces England needs 450.1 Colonial Range to reach Greenland (Vestbygden), 463.5 to reach Bermuda, 463.6 to reach Canada (Beothuk), 394.2 to reach the Caribbean (Trinidad) and 377.4 to reach Colombia (Paramaribo).
England with parts of Ireland (Connacht): 396.3 for Greenland, 409.8 for Canada
England with Iceland: 302.4 for Greenland, 328.9 for Canada
Is there any way to check if a country (not mine) has some active rebels/separatists armies in their country?
Is there a way to exchange provinces between two of your colonial nations?
I have a CN in Eastern America as well as one in Canada. When England tried to settle the Montreal area I fabricate a claim on one of their CN's (Newfoundland) provinces and gave that claim to my CN in Eastern America seeing that the province in question bordered it. As England was currently busy fighting a losing war, I told my CN to declare war on theirs and they easily beat them. The problem is that now the province belongs to my CN in Eastern America, while I was thinking - and hoping - that it would automatically switch to the CN to which's region it belongs.
Long story short, can I somehow take the province from my CN in Eastern America and give it to my CN in Canada - to which it belongs?
Is it possible for Holland to own the Estuary in Caux (and even the whole Normandie) without France getting hostile (when France has a lot of trust and is friendly) ?
