Hello. I try get Switzerlake achievement. But i have question.

To get achievement i don't can have any coastline province for all time? Or i can for same time, but must sell/give to vassal to get it.

The game does not set any flags that monitor whether or not you've ever had a coastal province so you should be able to get this achievement by owning coastline early on and then giving it to a vassal or client state later on when you have enough inland provinces.

According to quite a few posts from people with the achievement this is accurate. Client state dumping the coast is a popular tactic for the achievement.

I have an ironman game (local save) that I want to play offline, because I'm going to a godforsaken place. Is it possible to play it offline and earn achivements? And if I play offline do I risk ruining my save?

Playing offline will not ruin your save in any way, but you can only earn achievements if steam is online in the moment you should earn them afaik

Did Paradox(or Steam I suppose) change things? It used to be that as long as you started the save and it was local you could keep earning achievements for however long the game and Steam were open.

It is the only reason I got into the habit of ironman as at the time I started playing I was using a rather shitty connection that barely managed to work long enough for me to open the game and load the save but then I could play as long as I wanted with no problems.

There was a thread about this some months ago. Rereading it now you might be right: according to the last message (left by @Aethis)

Playing frequently on no internet I find it best to load up Steam in online mode start the iron man save and then play. You can then lose the internet and from experience I haven't failed to unlock an achievement.

I don't know if this will work if you load Steam in offline mode and start the ironman save all whilse disconnected from the internet - there's only one way to find out though!

It would seem that as long as steam was online when the save was loaded you can get the achievements, as long as you don't close the game or steam.
If, however, you have no way to connect your pc to internet even for a second, you can't get them.

Aside from adding artillery, is there any benefit to adding regiments beyond the minimum requirement while sieging a fort?

Rolling 1 and getting Disease Outbreak kills 5% of your stack. This can bring you below the required # of troops needed to siege a fort so the siege will halt until it gets back up.

I will fight the Ottos and I was thinking of taking Korfu as target -> landing day 1 and let the war score pill up.
It has a Land connection but ~26k holding the place while the rest ~50-60k + allies making noise is a good idea?
The fleet must hide or get wiped -> mouse trap?

I had an embargo on my rival. Then I conquered the hell out of 'em and now they only have one province left. The problem is that I can't see that province because it is a distant island with terra incognita. Is there a workaround for this? I have a spy in their nation as well but I can't use the network since I can't acquire my former rival's diplomacy screen.

I have researched the two colonial range ideas from exploration as Portugal. Have colonised Rio de Oro and Arguin, but still unable to send colonists to the Americas. WHY and how to overcome?

You can increase your range further by hiring the colonial range advisor (if available) or waiting for a diplomatic tech which increases the base range.
Also to be sure you can't send a colonist anywhere in the americas, turn on the colonial range mapmode and check if you see any green provinces. Those are within range. As portugal, the First places you'll bè able to reach there are the brazilian coast and the closest caribbean islands

In my current game, Muscovy got a union over Ansbach, which I can contest ("Possible Succession War" dialog). I have the option to either "Back down" or "Go to war".
Now I'm currently in a war together with Muscovy (a war led by our common ally Denmark), also I'm allied to Muscovy. What happens if I choose "go to war"? I can't start a war against Muscovy, since we're currently fighting in a war together, right? Will I get a CB? Will Muscovy have to back down?

Hi,

I am playing as Milan and looking to unify Italy. I switched to republic and like the look of the Plutocratic idea set.

If I talk Plutocratic ideas and later switch to monarchy, will my idea set switch to aristocratic or stay plutocratic?

They will remain Plutocratic. If I remember correctly, you could even additionally choose Aristocratic ideas if you wanted to.
