can someone elaborate on what this is? ... by its naming it have obviously something to do with the chance for the institution starting, but how does it work more specificly?
AFAIK it means that every province that is a valid target for an institution spawn will have a 5% chance of it being the birthplace of that institution. The chance is rolled on January 1st of every year.

Hello everyone,
A quick question. Is it possible in any way, to change the trade good of a province. I'm setting up a colony in West Africa and don't want to sell slaves in this playthrough.
I sometimes see some events modifying the trade goods, but for instance, is it possible to influence the occurence of these events?

For slaves specifically there's a decision that unlocks in (IIRC) 1700 to abolish the slave trade in your country. For other goods there are occasional events, but they're rare and I don't know of a way to control them.

How can I check which province is controled by which Fort?
It looks that its only showing those details for my country but when I am trying to use Fort map on enemies province
it is just showing which province is protected by fort, but there is no info by which fort (zone of control).

If I force a nation to accept my religion, either as my vassal or in a peace treaty, what if any are my options to ensure they'll keep it, won't switch back and will start converting their lands?
In my ck2 Mongolia WC transfer I diplo-vassalized Fezzan and forced Tengri on them through subject interactions (which admittedly kinda pissed them off and spiked LD), and they just switched back to Sunni while I wasn't looking, for (counter-)example.

This is true. However, note that the alliance is not broken, because the AI will not send the CTA to another AI, if the receiving AI will not honor it.
In other words, that line in the wiki really only applies to CTAs received by human players.

Defensive CTAs are automatic, yes? So if the AI is in a bad place, they may break alliances on defensive CTAs.

It breaks the alliance. Defensive CTAs are automatic unless they are unable to call the ally because they are already in a war on the side of the aggressor. If you hover over the red x and it says something like ALREADY_IN_WAR_WITH then no CTA will be sent and so the alliance will not be broken. If you hover over and it says they won't honor because they have more reasons not to (as appears to be the case in this instance) a CTA will be sent, dishonored, and the alliance broken.

So, what is right?
Can I declare war on an AI who is allied to the ottomans, when the "declare-war"-window shows me that the ottomans "will most likely not accept", or do I have to fear that they might join in later?
Or in other words: will I break their alliance or not, because I make the AI call to arms defensive which then is denied.

(Note, that if you give me the wrong answer and I accidantially declare a war against ottomans, it will ruin my game.)

That depends on why they're not joining, as @Badesumofu already pointed out. If it's because they're already involved in another war alongside the AI that you want to declare on, then the CTA won't go out, and will be sent after that war is finished, in which case they may join. Otherwise, the CTA will go out, and it will be declined, and the alliance will break.

... because AI pagans whose territory is Muslim or Christian will convert to Islam or Christianity.

One little thing, in that instance I'm not so sure the CTA is automatic, ie, when it comes mid-war. The only CTA I'm sure is automatic if possible to send at all is the initial defensive CTA when the war is declared. Note, however, that as long as you have the enemy below -25% warscore they just can't CTA anyone anyway. They also can't if the war is longer than a certain length. So if you're using the distract their allies with some other BS war to prevent CTA trick, you can end the BS war once the real war has progressed beyond 25% warscore.

I saw someone claim once that you can prevent all CTAs by getting 25% warscore on the first day of a war because they aren't sent until the next day. A fully blockaded OPM will be at -25% warscore. Never tried it myself.

I cant really follow everything,
i dont know how to start a Distraction-war
(because then I would have to fight Ottomans either)

but I will give you my situation:
I am Portugal, my enemy is Tlemcen, who only has 4 provinces left and 2 of them are coastal. They have 1 fort.
Can I do some Bullshit to prevent their Ottoman-Allies from helping them?

(behind Tlemcen sits Tunis which also allied Ottomans.)
((really annoying, because I already won a war against Tunis and made them delete the alliance with ottomans, but they made a new one..))

Just DoW them when Ottos wouldn't join and make sure you get 25% WS asap so they can't call in anything no matter the circumstance.

It won't remove Slaves in your Colonial Nations but I don't think they can spawn in the Americas or Oceania, so you should be fine

Is it WAD when you're the HRE emperor but not an HRE member and pass the reforms till revoke the privilegia where the members turn into vassals instant become disloyal? The relative power modifier is counting all the vassals as one instead each vassals on his own. This will disappear the moment I add my capital to the HRE.

Minor note: Abolishing the slave trade is a decision not an event. Look for it in the tab with missions, policies, and decisions :)

Will they still colonize new provinces, when I take everything but they have 1 colony-province left?
What happens to their colonies when the country loses access to the ocean?

Colonies don't break free if their mother country no longer has a sea connection. They can declare independence through the normal way if they have high enough liberty desire, but distance or a sea route doesn't affect liberty desire.

A one province Castile will continue to colonize as normal so long as it has enough money to support colonists. Problem is, as one province they probably don't have the money. You can subsidize them if you really want them to colonize.

Theocracies and monastic orders have a Secularize decision at Admin 12 or 20, depending on religion.

Certain nation forming decisions can make you a monarchy. Prussia is one. Also Dutch Republic. Probably a few others I'm not thinking of.

Breaking to Revolutionary rebels might also make you a republic. Not sure, and that comes late game.

Aristocratic Coup will turn you into a noble republic. When you end the disaster you should be a despotic monarchy.
