What are the requirements for the Religious Leage CB to appear?
It's 1569 in my PLC game, I'm the emperor and BRA is the Protestant leader but so far no CB.

Edit:
This is the current situation

First of all, thanks.
But still, what's the modifier for "elector"?

Because if 4x the development isn't enough, I'm curious as to how you should ever make it without cheesing the system.

Either way, hopefully we'll see soon.
I don't know

I had no trouble taking the leadership as GB as soon as I joined. I had no mainland holdings. This was Mare Nostrum patch I think.

The CB can only be seen and used by the Protestant leader. And they don't always start the war.

The upstarts in America have decided to declare independence from me. How can I get revenge?

I see... What happens if I pass the fifth reform (the one that disables internal wars)? Do I still get the 'Catholic Empire' modifier?
EDIT: Never mind. Realized you can't pass any reform during the leagues

Is there any reason why the Global Trade Institution might spawn late? It is 1601 in my Byzantium game and it still hasn't spawned. I know that Colonialism can be late if nobody reached the Americas, but I wasn't aware that Global Trade can also be late. I am not going to win it, but I wonder why it hasn't spawned in Sevilla or Lubeck yet.

Do light ships go to port if I start a war when they are protecting trade? I just started war with Byzantine Empire and it shows my light ships in port, while also saying they are protecting trade in Alexandria (assume this will be updated at the beginning of next month?)

Follow up question. Byzantium is allied to three nations who were likely to accept entry into the war but it only called in its vassal Athens. Did I just get lucky, or do I have to call them in as cobilligerents? Is there a way to know who an enemy will call in, because the text pop up in the diplomacy "declare war" screen from the three checkmarked nations that were considered likely to join but didn't join doesn't bode well for the accuracy of that information.

So recently i was faced with a question in my SP game, If I were in a war and during that war I subjugated a country, would my new subject get a CTA for my old war?

I don't know this with 100% certainty because I don't think I've ever actually encountered this specific circumstance, but as far as I'm aware, loyal subjects are always join their overlord's war. However, I also think forced vassalization means that your new subject will almost certainly be disloyal, which means he will not actually participate in the war unless enemies march into his lands.

Also be aware that if the country you subjugate was fighting another war at the same time, you would be pulled into his war too. For example you are Brandenburg and you attacked the Teutonic Order at the same time as Poland, if you were able to vassalize TO in a peace deal, you would immediately be at war with Poland yourself.

If you tick the box with the fleet selected that tells them to go to port at war, then they will dock up asap whenever war breaks out. If you don't tell them to hide, they sometimes hide and sometimes don't hide, depending on the balance of local naval power. The AI is surprisingly good actually, In my Byzantium game, I was impressed that my trade fleets automatically got back to work once I defeated the Spanish and Portuguese fleets in the Mediterranean. There were other enemy fleets left in the war, but they were trapped by my blockades or in the wrong seas altogether (North Sea).

Did you unpause? Allies take one day to respond to CtA. In general, if there is a green tick next to an enemy ally, they will join the war.

in 1503 and Colonisation institution haven't popped as of yet, while there is valid targets for it to do so (me, as Aragon, and a rump Portugal), and by reading the event files I ran into this line

start_chance = 5 #in 100 for when a province can_start

can someone elaborate on what this is? ... by its naming it have obviously something to do with the chance for the institution starting, but how does it work more specificly?

Hello, quick question:

If I declare war to an AI and in the "declare war"-window I can see that they are allied to the ottomans, but the ottomans will "most likely not accept" (because fighting another war) the defensive call to arms,

-will this break their alliance?
-is it a SURE THING?
-and could it be possible that the ottomans initially dont join, but get called in later, when they finished their other war?

If i recall correctly from before I took a hiatus which I just broke the other day...

No
Yes (but)
Yes (or any of their other reasons why they won't join disappear, say they rival you, gaining a +30 attitude towards enemy)

If you want to avoid this, then get to >25 warscore before they finish their other war.
Sfan is correct on the other points.
But the wiki says that an alliance will be broken when a defensive call to arms gets refused.
This is true. However, note that the alliance is not broken, because the AI will not send the CTA to another AI, if the receiving AI will not honor it.
In other words, that line in the wiki really only applies to CTAs received by human players.

Defensive CTAs are automatic, yes? So if the AI is in a bad place, they may break alliances on defensive CTAs.

It breaks the alliance. Defensive CTAs are automatic unless they are unable to call the ally because they are already in a war on the side of the aggressor. If you hover over the red x and it says something like ALREADY_IN_WAR_WITH then no CTA will be sent and so the alliance will not be broken. If you hover over and it says they won't honor because they have more reasons not to (as appears to be the case in this instance) a CTA will be sent, dishonored, and the alliance broken.
