How much do you benefit from permanent claims in the following two situations?

1. Make a territorial core, make it a state, then complete the core.

2. Start coring the province when it's already in a state, make a full core in one go.

1) discount on territorial core, no benefit on subsequent full core (so only half of the nominal 10% discount really applies)

2) full discount

So what are the discovery spread rules now? Doing a coptomans WC I had to steal a lot of maps to see beyond my own borders...

Afaik they haven't changed, they still spread primarily by tech group, then by religion, then by religion group, then by neighboring. As any sort of Coptoman blob the first two aren't likely to net you much as you'll be the only nation in your tech group and Coptic isn't exactly widespread or generally expansionist.

Can Natives fabricate claims if they complete exploration/expansion?

I'm pretty sure they have to reform into a monarchy/republic to fabricate claims, even if they have ideas that allow fabricating in areas you aren't normally able. Fabrication itself is disallowed by the native governments, all the ideas do is expand the target list for fabrication.

no, they cannot. But you don't need to fill idea group, you can declare 20 no cb wars and eat mexico as a native also ;)

Dear Devs, do you plan to fix institution spread, so Afrika or Native American tribes don't get Printing Press or Manufactories like only 7+ years after they make contact with europeans?

Or maybe someone heard something from devs on this matter?

just dump a whole bunch of mana into developing a grassland/farmland province and you don't have to wait for the Europeans' spread

You totally missed his point. He is complaining about natives getting institutions too quickly from European colonies.

I guess he's missing the part where reforming a native tribe gives you all embraced institutions of the nation you reform of off. It's kind of the whole point. They are still pretty screwed on getting any kind of spreading if they don't manage to win the lucky die roll to spawn one though.

Ah yes, I have a house rule where I can't declare no CB wars...

I usually do as well but native councils are the exception because otherwise it's pure dumb luck on whether you get a mission or not or a random event gives you a CB.

I release an OPM Provence from Papal State in peace treaty.

Anyway, they refuse to become my vassal because "France owns provencal core" (Anjou) and it gives a -1000 modifier.
Anjou is francien culture and will take 100 years more for slip from them.

Is there any smart move to have them "revoke" their core so they will accept become vassal?
Some espionage or other action?

Personally I think the "threaten war" option should be extended to threat "revoke core" so the -1000 modifier fade away.

DoW them. Only demand "revoke core" and cash in the peacedeal.

Yes, thats what i usually do indeed. I was wondering if there was any diplomatic action viable for that, but as you advice my same idea looks like there isnt any diplomatic option...

The Printing Press arrived in my Byzantium game. I was rather surprised to see that the origin was in Piedmont, Savoy. The province itself is Reformed, but Savoy is still Catholic. I thought that the Printing Press was supposed to spawn in Germany and/or Protestant/Reformed countries?

Furthermore, I was also surprised to see that Venice (the city itself), which I recently conquered and converted to Orthodoxy, as well as Catholic Paris, Catholic Rome and Ausberg, Bavaria (Reformed) all had Printing Press present immediately. I wasn't aware that institutions could have multiple points of origin and I don't see it mentioned on the wiki. Is this working as intended?

Several countries have events to spawn it instantly. You can see it yourself when you play a France campaign.

Oh so I stole the Venetian event when I took their capital? I clicked through it too fast to read it. I assumed it was just the normal "The Institution has arrived!" pop up. lol

Alright thanks for the clarification. I feel a bit sorry for the Northern Europeans in this campaign, all 3 of the institutions so far basically spawned along the Mediterranean coast.

Can I get "The Golden Horn" achievement with any nation in the game as long as its primary culture is Somali (ie. can I culture shift to get it)? I checked the achievement.txt but don't really understand it being computer illiterate and all:

No. Your primary culture must be Somali at the start of the game (on 11 November 1444) to be eligible for the achievement.

Not technically a bug. Netherlands declared independence in Calais which puts them at war with GB who can call in their allies. The Netherlands will get alliances with GB's rivals but they will only be able to call them in with a promise of land and that may not be enough.

This may not be a bug, but it needs to be fixed. The Nethelands should only rise up if they can realistically win the independence war. Wait for an opportunity when the occupation country is weak and/or their strong rivals would support their independence. @seriousgigi 's example is quite absurd, as is what just happened in my game.
