How many non-HRE provinces are there in all of Europe?

~550 provinces in Europe in total, ~150 are HRE provinces from the start means you can add around 400 provinces if needed. Enough for all 8 reforms in one go.

If you have Deus Vult unlocked, is there any circumstance where you would prefer to use the Conquest CB instead of Deus Vult against a Heretic/Heathen nation? It seems to give more prestige and less AE, so there is no downside unless...

If you use Deus Vult, does it cost more Diplo to take land from a secondary participant assuming that you do have claims?

None that I can think of.

Unless it got changed recently it still costs nothing if you take it in the peacedeal with the warleader.
Separate peacedeals are separate peacedeals.

There are times when you don't want to use the superiority war goal where conquest would be better.

As an example, I was playing a Russia game when Crimea was allied to the Ottomans and I was allied with the Poles (+ lackeys). I used a conquest CB and nabbed a couple provinces + forced an alliance break despite the Poles and friends getting repeatedly mauled by the Ottomans. I lost some war score to the battles they lost but occupation plus ticking war score for the war goal I took the first month of the war gave me the win.

Typically not, unless you don't want the Show Superiority wargoal for whatever reason. Claims are still very useful for Threaten War and for reduced coring costs on certain provinces though, so even with Deus Vult I still find claim fabrication useful at times.

Thank you for your reports!

There is indeed an issue with the Change Rivals subtab if you have three rivals set.
If you notice that rivals are greyed out and that there is no tooltip telling you why, hover over their shield in the Diplomacy tab and the tooltip there will tell you when you can remove them. If you are eligible for a change of rivals and you have three set already you can work around this issue by right clicking the shield of the rival you want to remove in Diplomacy tab and then add a new one by clicking the empty shield.

I have added this issue to our database.
I've got this problem and I don't understand the workaround. Right clicking prompts me to remove the rival at a cost of 100 admin points and there are no empty shields.

Removing a rival does cost 100 points (although I thought it was diplo rather than admin) so that sounds like it is probably WAD. Are you saying that after you spend those points there are no empty shields and you just lose a rival slot?

It could be diplo I don't remember, the 100 points was so repulsive I cast it from memory. I didn't remove the rival because I couldn't believe the workaround costs 100 power for a feature that costs none.

As I understand it, this is only a workaround for the problem that the game does not let you bring up a list of possible replacement rivals until you have ended rivalry with one of your current rivals. Manually changing rivals when you have not eclipsed them has always cost 100 dip.

I can view replacement rivals by left clicking on an existing rival but they are all greyed out with no explanation. I could've sworn it used to be possible to replace rivals this way for free.

Hmm.. Time will tell then if I find the Diplomatic points needed or not. Do I lose Cores on those provinces when they revolt or it's just to beat the Netherlands in order to get my provinces back?

/Quisition

You just need to beat them to take the land back. It will most likely require multiple wars though.

How much do you benefit from permanent claims in the following two situations?

1. Make a territorial core, make it a state, then complete the core.

2. Start coring the province when it's already in a state, make a full core in one go.

Dear Devs, do you plan to fix institution spread, so Afrika or Native American tribes don't get Printing Press or Manufactories like only 7+ years after they make contact with europeans?

Or maybe someone heard something from devs on this matter?
