Have them transfer trade to you. For whatever reason, it makes them have a bonus towards you.
But it only boosts opinion, not trust, right? So it wouldn't help here.

So a bit of a simple question, but I must know. I feel like France has become very passive, at least in most of my games. When the Maine event fires, and if England does not go to war, I often see France going a diplomatic route throughout all of the game. They don't retake their cores, they don't declare wars on Burgundy or Brittany, they really don't do much (other than allying the Ottomans).

I just want to hear if this is an occurence other people often experience?
In my 3 1.19 games, I was allied with France once and they had a normal game, they got stomped by England even if they did not fell under a PU in the second one, that was unusual. And in the third one they are actually really strong and expanding inside the HRE.

In my wc game as the coptomans I've been doing quite well, but I'm having a lot of problems with rebels. More than in previous tries. Now my 5th ideagroup is coming up and I'm doubting what to take. I have Admin, Influence, Quantity and Religious, all filled out. Was thinking of going defensive to counter the French en Spanish 'that I will be fighting soon, but am also thinking about Humanism since the unrest is so bad even though my religious unity is above 95%. So what would you recommend?
Defensive should not be your priority, you should be able to stomp them with numbers only. As a military group quality is superior to win battles once you have enough troops to move stacks in and out of a battle to max morale, and offensive is superior from a WC perspective.
Humanist can help you, but you should let your vassals/PUs kill rebels for you. If they have an army around 100k themselves, and I assume you have some of them this size if you do a WC, and you set them as offensive, they will chase rebels. Humanist can still be a solid group if you don't want a military one, but it would be your third admin group in the first 5, so you can't take it now, and it will be less and less useful.
The most important right now is diplomatic, however, so that would be my go. I can't believe you don't have it yet to do a WC. Less warscore for provinces alone would justifiy it, but you are also the freakin Coptomans, the goal is to get PUs, so the finisher of diplomatic is crucial.

But aren't you supposed to be able to take provinces that you can core after coring other province you took? I am absolutely sure it is possible to take land province and ask for next inland province even if it'll take time to core first and only then you'll be able to core next

I think that's a mistake in the description of the modifier, other descriptions state for example that "the Schwarz silver mine is the biggest in Europe"

How salty are you about it

Mercantilism boosts your trade power. Does free trade boost your trade efficiency? Are there any tool tip overs for this? I cannot find a spot in the UI which shows how much mercantilism vs free trade and what their modifiers are. Is there one?

Mercantilism just increases your provincial trade power, so your province with 5 base trade power will have bonus 5 trade power with 50% mercantilism. It also increases embargo efficiency btw. There are no other modifiers because of mercantilism. Your colonies will have more liberty desire with high mercantilism.

Influence them to gain trust.

Oh right! That helps, but still need a bit more (54/55 now)

do the 'reduce overextension' mission for another +1 dip rep. Also use influence nation greater power action.

Don't have any overextension atm. (I tend not to do min-maxing/pure 'map-painting' games.)

You could also conquer Savoie to get lower distance to border malus.

Well, I am about to do that, but I'd rather get Milan in first to get them Novara, Milan and Brescia in one go rather than having to wait for truces for it. If all else fails, I can wait till afterwards. It'd just be nice to get in there beforehand.

Have them transfer trade to you. For whatever reason, it makes them have a bonus towards you.

But it only boosts opinion, not trust, right? So it wouldn't help here.

Checked - does nothing for the vassalization modifier. Opinion's already maxed out.

The description of the achievement All belongs to Mother says to form Russia as a Russian cultured nation. This was clear and made sense when the achievement was made, i.e. before the Russian culture was split up into several cultures.
As it stands now the description seems to indicate that all nations within the Russian culture group can get it. However it can only be obtained as a nation with the Muscovite culture. This is most likely due to the way that Paradox split the Russian culture (by renaming the Russian culture so that it was Muscovite and creating new cultures which are not detected by the achievement for the other ones).
Does anybody know when/if the achievement is going to be fixed, either by changing the description to Muscovite culture so that at least it isn't misleading or by allowing all nations within the Russian culture group to get it (as it was before the Russian culture was split up)? I would like to get the Frozen Assets achievement without having to do it with an old version and get All Belongs to Mother Russia at the same time (by forming Russia after getting Frozen Assets) but as it stands now that isn't possible. If there is no plan to make it available for Novgorod again I might just go ahead and play as Novgorod now instead of waiting.

I haven't been tracking so I am unsure if it was reported but either way report in the bug forum so that it should both be fixed if they don't know about it yet and you get an answer as to how and when.

Thanks, the bug was reported at least once last May. I didn't want to necro which is why I posted here.
I just saw that StarNaN replied to another possible bug related to the splitting of the Russian culture which I reported so I just mentioned the achievement in a reply to him.

I just tried to convert my recent CK2 game to 1.19.2 EU4 and I get a message saying this mod supports version 1.12. Any idea what's going on here? Cheers!
Have you, by any chance, held back your CK2 installation at an old version because of a disliked change to CK2's game mechanics?

Is it WAD that these rebels are taking all of Majapahit's cores when they enforce demands.
Didn't fancy fighting an 80 stack so left them on this 3 dev island thinking that's all they'd get :(

Are they Majapahit Separatists?

If so, then yes, it's entirely intended that Majapahit gets all of its cores that you own if they enforce demands on you.
