I can only use the 'continue game' option when I'm using local saves. Since the bug which corrupts the local saves I switched to cloud saving, but now there is no option to continue my game? Instead I have to start up the game (load screen), then click on my save game (more loading time as it has to load the map), and then click to resume the game (more loading time to finally load the game).

Is there an option to be able to continue from cloud saves directly, just like local saves? If not, I think this will fit in the suggestions forum.

How do you handle colonizers en colonies in a WC attempt? Still trying with the Ottomans. Last try I was able to pick of some lands in the new world and after that demand the whole region. However because of a lack of exploration I didn't have a sea route between both continents and the AI won't offer op colonies that have a fort nearby so I couldn't demand anything from Portugal regardless of me occupying their capital. Does this mean I have to take exploration? It feels a waste for anything other than explorer/ conquistador.

you do NOT need to delve into Europa and kill colonizers as Ottomans. You don't need to kill them early, as any nation. Especially not if you go christian (like coptic) for Ottomans into HRE.

You can full annex colonizers late game in two wars top, wit a truce break, and obtain all their colonial nations. Only thing that is annoying if they build level 8 forts on 10 islands around the globe.

If you stay sunni as Ottomans, expand upstream of your trade node, into mamluks, arabia, then India and beyond. And get Crimea and everything east of it too.

As sunni Ottomans, you can kill Europe after you get imperialism cb and admin efficiency 2.

you never 'need' exploration. It might be situational to get it to uncover Asia and all sea nodes, and to get coring range bridgeheads in spice islands once you get port around Persia or in Red sea. But ditch it afterwards.. never fill the group.

When I play multiplayer with my friend, he starts falling behind randomly. We're playing on speed 2 and no out of sync error appears - I wouldn't even know he's behind if he didn't tell me. Does anyone have any experience with this?

You need to full annex the colonizers, not vassalize them, there are wrird interactions regarding integrations and CNs. No need to prevent them from colonizing.

Is it wise to use defensive units like men at arms when sieging a fort and getting attacked (because then you're treated as the attacker OR ARE YOU)? o_O
Defensive and offensive pips have nothing to do with being the attacker or the defender, this is a myth. They just have consequences with how much damage you inflict/take, they are modifiers to dice rolls. But you inflict and take damage whether you are the attacker or the defender so they are used in both cases.

2 questions:
Would it be worth it to sell a European country such as Portugal a Cot in India so that the trade goods events that raise the price of cotton and silk happen? Since It wont happen otherwise
Does annexing a nation still give you their personal union?

Portugal gets the province of Goa in India via an event. It's not necessary to sell them a province.

Annexing them does not give you their PU - the subject state gains independence. Claiming the throne and enforcing the union, however, *will* give any of their PUs to you. Unless you're talking a vassalized nation with a PU diplo-annexed? I'm not sure on that one, tbh. I'm not sure if it's even possible in the first place, but I couldn't say.

Its the 1600s and I own all of India and control all of its trade, so the question still stands

Brandenburg has a PU over a large poland in my game so I was wondering if I could just annex them and get that, because I think that used to work? Thank you though

Trying to figure out if there are any quick ways to boost my vassalization positives for this weakened Milan? I'm about to pounce on Savoy (who are allied to Venice) - getting them as a vassal before this war would be a major boon considering I could feed them a bunch of cores back.

Easiest way I can think of is boosting diplo rep, but I'm already running most of my boosts, and am not close enough to any ideas that would boost my diplo rep, either.
Diplomatic reputation: +1 from being France, +1 from max legitimacy, +1 from advisor, +1 from papal legate

Any other ideas?

Got any favors for them you can convert into trust? That would be simplest. Alternatively, since the economic base modifier is actually based off 120, -28 is a 92, and for 2 more you're going to need 2% more base tax and production than you currently have to pull it off.

Hmm... I'd have to check the math, but I can't throw away dip points fast enough at current. I'm way ahead in tech and am not worrying about running extra dip relations just so I don't hit the cap too fast. Maybe I should have taken influence second instead, but oh well, kinda late now. Could see if I could boost production enough to get the requisite economic base modifier.

Favors are a no go at the moment, I only allied them after they got gangbanged consecutively and realized I might have the chance at diplovassalizing. I do get them crazy fast because OPM Milan v. #2 WP France. Guess I could just wait a bit for them to accumulate.

So a bit of a simple question, but I must know. I feel like France has become very passive, at least in most of my games. When the Maine event fires, and if England does not go to war, I often see France going a diplomatic route throughout all of the game. They don't retake their cores, they don't declare wars on Burgundy or Brittany, they really don't do much (other than allying the Ottomans).

I just want to hear if this is an occurence other people often experience?

In my wc game as the coptomans I've been doing quite well, but I'm having a lot of problems with rebels. More than in previous tries. Now my 5th ideagroup is coming up and I'm doubting what to take. I have Admin, Influence, Quantity and Religious, all filled out. Was thinking of going defensive to counter the French en Spanish 'that I will be fighting soon, but am also thinking about Humanism since the unrest is so bad even though my religious unity is above 95%. So what would you recommend?

Easiest way I can think of is boosting diplo rep, but I'm already running most of my boosts, and am not close enough to any ideas that would boost my diplo rep, either.
Diplomatic reputation: +1 from being France, +1 from max legitimacy, +1 from advisor, +1 from papal legate

do the 'reduce overextension' mission for another +1 dip rep. Also use influence nation greater power action.

You could also conquer Savoie to get lower distance to border malus.
