I've been finishing up an old 1.15 campaign, but unless something's changed since the event-granted Colonial Enthusiasm modifier just resets the duration on the one you already have (both the missions and the events give a 10 year modifier IIRC).
Can there be two papacy's
Can it be modded to have two?Not in a normal game of EU4, no. There may be some weirdness if you have both Catholics and Fraticelli in a CK2 converted game though (not sure how this works).
Any Christian or Pagan country that is not the Papal State or the Holy Roman Empire can form the Roman Empire if it owns the many required provinces. Is it really possible to re-form the Roman Empire with France or Castile in Ironman mode? thx
- Does Paradox ever remove beta versions? i.e. if I update my game to the latest version, can I revert back to 1.18.4 a few months from now to resume a 1.18.4 Ironman game?
- Is it possible to play with Mare Nostrum but disable Condottierri?
I have seen them colonize but only provinces which bordered them. So if this an actual restriction not coincidence or preference a Caribbean CN has only a single border outside the region that is unlikely to be free is not going to colonize.Does colonial nations colonize outside their colonial region?
Eg. Does British West Indies colonize outside the Carribean if all the islands are populated?

From 1.18 patch notes:How do you move your capital from Asia to Europe?
I'm unsure what other restrictions still exist. You can no longer move capital to a continent that has less than a third of your total provinces, unless your capital is the last province you own on its continent.
1 already answered above: Beta versions are removed (so 1.19 beta 1 and beta 2 don't exist anymore, and you can't get the new fort change that was reverted unless you updated to the 1.19 beta 1 and backed it up when it existed, for example), but 1.18.4 isn't beta.Does Paradox ever remove beta versions? i.e. if I update my game to the latest version, can I revert back to 1.18.4 a few months from now to resume a 1.18.4 Ironman game?

I'm in the Ottoman early game and already swimming in gold... is it worth buying Defender of the Faith? The bonuses seem quite nice and with my starting ruler, I'm not short of MPs either. My main concern is will this drag me in war vs all of Europe before I'm ready? Am I gonna be pulled into wars constantly? like when Spain/Portugal attacks N Africa?
Well, makes great sense to rival Spain. And I'm sure Portugal will not even dare to DoW on N. Africa, if Ottoman is the DotF
Country A is my powerful, long-time and staunch ally that owes me lots of favours.
Country B is my relatively weak, neighbouring rival.
Country A and B are allied and are extremely friendly with each other.
If I use my favours with Country A to boost trust, will it make Country A less likely to defend Country B (and thus no longer be my ally) should I declare war?
Hmm... I thought as much.It will not, defensive call to arms always come first.
Yeah, I'll try looking for targets elsewhere and do this. What you can do is declare a war and pull country A in, then attack Country B separately, Country A cannot defend Country B as they are in a war on your side already, Country A and B will remain neutral, and you're free to attack Country B.
