Going Sunni -> Hindu -> Sikh has the benefit you won't need to spawn any rebels as long as 50% of your provinces are already Hindu

You can accept the Hindu Zealots' demands as soon as you place a missionary

Most of my land is still Sunni, as I ate most of Persia and Afghanistan from the Timurids. But duly noted, once I make more progress into India proper.

That said, I may *want* them to convert things, so that my religious unity isn't like... 0, and I don't have to spam missionaries everywhere.

Is there a place in game to quickly view total development instead of adding it all together from the development screen?

For your own country? Either the Economy tab (bottom left) or the Great Powers rankings if you are a Great Power (and you have Rights of Man).

Well, your total development is also mentioned on the first page of the ledger after the index, on the country page. That has the added benefit of being able to sort through them, and allow you to quickly tell which countries are ahead of yours, development wise (important for the PU game, I believe?)

Is it possible to add modifiers to culture, for example make it cheaper to hire mercenaries?
If it is, how do I do it? I tried messing with the culture file and adding "diplomatic_reputation = 10" straight after the dynasty names of a particular culture, but I don't think it changed anything.

Not at the moment, but the developer diaries in the past month have teased that there may be culture-specific modifiers coming, and thus they should be moddable at that point in time.

I had to dishonor a call to arms, and found that every country in the world has me at -5 to trust now (so, at 45, instead of 50), except for the country I dishonored the call with that is. Will that level of trust remain so for the rest of the game, unless I actively work to assuage it? I mean, if I played on for 300 years and then quit without ever doing anything to break (or gain) trust again, would I have 45 all over the board for trust still? Or does this negative modifier decay over time towards 50?

As Nahuatl, if you pass the five reforms, but haven't reformed the religion yet, is the ticking doom counter for owning provinces gone or just reduced?

Short of Royal Marrying everyone you can, there is nothing you can do to increase the chance of an heir right? My Emperor is 43 years old and hasn't gotten a single heir in 10 years. He is not Infertile... but I am getting worried.

How do you move your capital from Asia to Europe?

Is it by surrounding yourself with a vassal that you create?

Playing Coptic Mughals and I want to use trade companies and maybe play with some HRE mechanics if the opportunity is there.

In this game, I know you like trade to flow to an end node but India's trade flow is in a weird circle. I know Zanzibar is ideal once I get there but how should I direct it in the beginning?

Within India, the best place for capturing India's trade value is Indus. Steer Ceylon to Goa and Goa to Indus.

France - The Surrender of Maine Event. I've restarted 5-6 times and each time England have just given me the province, I thought it was more heavily weighted for them to declare war on me instead? Am I just unlucky? The Wiki isn't up to date and I don't fully understand how to read the event and flavour docs, so I'm grasping in the dark a little. Can anyone shed some light?

By default, there's a 75% chance of them telling you to go to hell.

If they are at war with anyone at all, or they have an ongoing disaster, they are guaranteed to surrender the province.

As a non-European country (Ming to be precise), what is the best way to maximise trade power in the Indian Ocean (i.e. Ceylon, Bengal, Goa etc) and reduce the amount of value that gets pulled out of my trade collection node in Malacca? Obviously since my capital is in Asia, I cannot make Trade Companies there.

I don't really want to conquer India because of the coring costs. As I see it, I have three options:
  1. Conquer India (or at least the important centers of trade) with a vassal. (Will vassals still pull trade away from Malacca? If so I guess this would be pointless)
  2. Conquer just the Centers of Trade and Estuaries. I am not sure how much trade power this will give me.
  3. Conquer the Areas around each CoT and Estuary as well so I can make the most of full state cores. This will be pretty admin-intensive though...
Which option is the most optimal? Am I missing a better choice?

I do plan to gradually work my way to Zanzibar and move my trade capital there eventually, but I think it's a bit cheesy to jump there straight away so my short-term goal is to just reduce the amount of wealth I am loosing from Malacca.

Malacca bleeds trade value to Bengal and Zanzibar. Therefore, if you hold significant TP (>30-50%) in both nodes, Malacca is almost an end-node by itself. There's no need to conquer entire India.

Just take the CoTs and Estuaries should do.

I often get events that could give me Colonial Enthusiasm modifier when I already have it. Is it possible to stack the same modifier or am I basically just getting an extension on a modifier that I can easy obtain via missions anyway?

If I recall correctly that modifier tends to be quite short lived. Check your country modifiers in the government tab and see whether you do in fact still have it and when it ends.

To answer your question I don't think it stacks, but I'm not 100% sure.
