Helloes, oh the mighty admins and fellow forum dwellers! I have a problem, and seek your guidance in order to fix it. After the much-anticipated 1.2 patch was finally installed, i was itching to play and see the new idea sets, only to get a steam error of "Missing Executable". I did a quick fix that was recommended by Steam in a link i got in that error message. Restarted. Now it did show me the launcher, and i was all happy, thinking the issue was resolved. But nope! After i gleefully hit the "Start" button, i have a black screen for a few seconds, and the game closes. Just like the stereotypical error the FAQ described (Whenever I start the game in fullscreen I get a black screen and after a few seconds the game crashes).
I did what was recommended in the FAQ (Well, the refreshRate was already set to 60, so i set it to 52 and then 72 and then a couple other digits in order to make the beloved game work), but it didn't fix the issue. The game was working fine before the patch, i was running it in the morning just fine. Other note, is that i have a PC with Windows 7 on it, not a Mac or Linux. Really hoping you would help me find a solution i need to resolve this nasty problem!
