Hello all, haven't played in a while but when I started back up I got the new update (patch) and now I'm experiencing random lockups. The game will freeze for a period of a few seconds to a couple minutes and then business as usual. Also, when I do finally leave the game, my network cannot reach the internet. Does this seem to be an issue with the game or do I have an issue with my system? Thanks!

Sorry it took so long for a response, work really gets in the way of playing games, lol. I did as you suggested, same issue. Also noticed that this glitch occasionally causes my graphics driver to stop responding (then immediately recovers). I'm seeing lots of people are having issues, however they get a CTD, I have yet to experience this. I'm going to assume it's an issue with the game. Sucks, hope they fix it soon.

Again, I hope this helps and I apologize for having to make several posts.

I should also note that after testing another game last night (Shogun 2) I encountered the same issue. I then did a search for the issue which directed me to do a clean wipe of my video driver and then reinstall clean while also ensuring that windows did NOT just look for and download the driver itself (apparently this causes an issue with WDDM and WHQL). Shogun 2 works perfectly now, EUIV is still having the same issue.

One thing you might try in the meantime is editing that settings.txt to turn off multi-sampling and master_volume, set them both to 0.

Update: After talking with EVGA twice they have determined that the replacement card they sent me was faulty as well. My issues are hardware related and have nothing to do (as far as I know) with the game itself. Thanks so much to AndrewT for your help in addressing this issue.

Wow, that is amazing. Thanks for getting back to us on that, good to know not every crash is our fault!

Well, I had to rule everything out first. When Shogun2 and Heaven started to crash I realized it was hardware related. It really sucks having to send back another card, but they're compensating me completely. EVGA is a great company. Hopefully, when I get a functioning card I'll be able to play EUIV with no issues.
