I'm sure there's other posts like this, but here it goes.

I can safely say that Europa Universalis III is a defining factor in my life. I started playing Paradox grand strategy games because of EU3, it was the first one I bought and despite total failure in the first few games, eventually I got hooked. I played it relentlessly for a few months; usually played with CAS>SPA and ENG>GB. Soon after I began playing Vicky 2, and after that, I discovered at a online game shop a downloadable version of CK with Deus Vult and pretty much stopped playing EUIII, loading my save games and playing a little bit every now and then.

Now, all of a sudden there's a new EU coming, I've followed most of the dev diaries, was part of that whole refer-a-friend-and-get-bonuses thing and I'm pretty much hooked again in EU3. The fact is that I know that after EUIV gets launched, I probally will never play EU3 ever again and I want to get the most out of it. I want to play the game in multiple playthroughs and with various nations, but I really can't think of one that I didn't do before.

So, anyone has suggestions on interesting nations/playthroughs? Anyone cares to share some good games they've had in EU3?

Play a nation outside of europe.

Maybe try Brunei, Oman or Rajputna(sp?)

Or try a wc with england without breaking the bad boy limit.
I have tried it several times only to fall short at the end.
But all tries have been fun.

I even tried a wc with spain with the same result.

I'd suggest you a Frankfurt/Ulm trading game. Was very funny to out-tech everyone and be unstoppable after the first 'Claim on our rivals' event.
One of my favorite game is Tuscany>Italy>Europe conquest ^^ Interesting start situation.
Recently, I did a very exciting mazovian rampage through Eastern Europe. Apart from the start, the hardest things to do was to westernize :p
Forming Hindustan with Bihar/Vijayanagar or Malaya with Malacca/Brunei are nice games too.

Actually forming Romania with Moldavia.
My next game will to be to convert Europe to Muslim faith with Morroco or Algers.

Hope you'll have one last good moment with EUIII ;)

Consider a Granadan Spain - funny decision conflicts coupled with an indefinite supply of cheap CB on the whole of Europe until 1650.

Playing as Grenada is a super fun challenge.

Oriot Horde is another challenge. Went Mughal. Suddenly all the plains-dwellers simultaneously declare war.

Have done Khazak and no Mughal route -- that was pretty challenging.
