You know, it´s allways good to read those stories - to know that i´m not the only lamer and braindead playing EU2
Recently after downloading MyMap a came back to this great game..and immediately had results,that made me doubt about myself..
1) Venice (AGCEEP) - expanded into Italy,pushed ottomans from Greece, annexed Byzantium. Shortly, i was making tons of money and had nice manpower..only two things i have forgotten:
- how terribly slowly the BB reduces in EU2
- how bad is the war exhaution
So about 1500 i was feeling like kind of "supreme-big-mega-super boss" when typical BB wars started. Ok,no prob you say.. well,it took some 60years.. lost all greece and those island to ottomans..dalmatian provinces to hungary..italian provinces to france and naples..and finished minimized to 2 province minor with killing inflation and loand. Yes..and i was vassal of England. Not to mention,that i quit the game..it would be masochistic to continue.
2) Hussites - fairly succesfull took over Romanist Bohemia,took slovakia from Hungary and some fat german provinces. As the best military nation in the world i was pretty sure to survive any BB wars. Damn,another mistake..i did not survive and finished annexed..
3) Another try with Hussites - this time expanded only a little bit,waited for protestant religion to arise and started diplomatic offensive into german lands.
And the (again!!) Ottomans - we shared small border in Carpathia (as ottos annexed Hungary) - DOW´d me. It was on coward,so they must have had very strange day.. Briefly,i felt confident until i saw their 5 or 6 50k top armies marching towards me..called Poland and Lithuania for help. It finished with turks washing their feet in Baltics,Poles conquered..and myself again minimized to 1 province Tabor...
So i have a feeling to match the criteria for the club
