Dan, if you want it bad enough you'll focus. Play for shorter periods of time to try and keep your focus. Maybe you should only play ten years at a time. Or maybe 20. Whichever works out so that you keep your focus.

Oh, is this true? Hmmm... you should rename the club then. I always read manuals to new games that I've recently bought to learn the basics of the game. But, hey! count me in then, though I'm not a bad player, but I've read the manual so many times I probably know it both forwards and backwards

I then mismanaged my holdings and Economy and eventually had a Civil War Where England split into the Royalists and me. I even think a few provinces went to the Puritans. (Is that possible?, Civil War then two sets of opposing factions get your territory.?) It was a while back.
Anyway I tried to fight back but couldn't really ever recover and after I lost most of my country and empire, I just gave up!
It was about that time that I started coming to this forum so I could figure out what the Heck was going wrong!
Well do I pass?

Everytime I start to lose, I cheat. I cheat some more. And I cheat again and again. It's a viscous cycle. I win because I cheat yet without cheating, I don't win.

In one of my earliest GC attempts, the first test of a new strategy I wanted to try as England.
Ignoring France and the HYW, moved Henry V to Eire and everyone else toward Northumberland to attack Scotland.
Scotland's initial attack on Northumberland was successful and repeated 30k+ attacks on the 12k Scots are in vain. Northumberland burns.
Meanwhile, Henry's 30k+ are humiliated in Ulster by 7k Irishmen. Henry is dead. His remaining army repeatedly sets new records for speed of retreat in subsequent attacks.
As the Scots beseige York, I quit.

I live in her house and she pays my bills. I don't have any parents so she fills that role for me.

Ahh... another worst player club. I'm in the WHOIPC, but I'll apply for membership here too!
Here is how I blew it in an MP game, and made a complete fool of myself:
I started as Russia, the others as Sweden, Poland, Ottomans, France and England, the epoch was 1700. So I was of course nervous about the three Neighbours. After som chatting I struck a nasty deal with the Ottos and the Swedes to ally and crush the Poles. We sat a date for the attack and I built up many troops and a quite large cavalry rush-force. We were not allied at the time so I had no guarantee for anything.
The poles should be easy I reckoned, so I started the attack some months before the others, when the ice broke. I was the most powerful in numbers so I thougth it wouldn't matter what they did anyway. Now the Polish player uttered some worries when I attacked, but that was not neccessary since I lost every battle I got into, even when I outnumbered them 5:1 on plain ground. I could not understand what happened. Soon I found myself very pissed and with my back against Novgorod and Moscow areas.
Then the Ottomans backstabbed me, and went in south but the Swedes were just sitting amusing themselves, watching my empire crumble... When I was almost wasted, I went into the military menu... Then I banged my head in the keyboard... guess what that army spending slider was set to all the time?

50%.... I have done that myself..... I too banged my head against my keyboard and then my wall and then the floor...
I played as Luxembourgh and took over a couple small states, then a bunch of other small states captured all my provinces. Normally I quit when everything goes bad, but thats one time I didn't.
I also messed up settings as Iroqouis so I couldn't ever get any colonists, and didn't realized that I could have had some until like 1550.
I've lost more hundred years wars as england than I've won. Still haven't ever completely destroyed france, and I still play on very easy weakling.
Oh, and playing Cambodia I ended up doing all the fighting in two seperate wars against malacca with allies but because of higher ranked ayutthaya commanders, they took everything and I didn't get any part of Malacca.

Does gaining 206,3 % inflation in a space of ten years time and not gainging a single province with all the troops I bought from it make me a member of the worst player club?
How did you gain all those 200+% of inflation in only ten years? By minting, you can only gain at most 1% per year, unless all your income (and more) came from gold and you received LOTS of corruption random events then taking the inflation hit. So, something strange happens here, because it would mean like an increase of 20 percent points per year.Singleton Mosby said:
