I've been beaten, but I dont think losing as Orleans in 1419 makes u a bad player.

Hmmm maybe the bad players out there are afraid of coming forward? There are roughly 40 members of the HOI club so you're definetly not alone. So join up and become part of a large community that is not ashamed to admit that they suck!

The only one I remember the details of right now (that doesn't in any way mean that it's my only one, oh no) was when I played my very first game with 1.00 patch as Austria...

I had played the tutorial so I knew how to do stuff, but I had yet to get the "feeling" of the game, so I ignored resarch all together as it seemed to take so goddamned long, and instead took loads of loans and minted money and just built hordes of troops and piled them in.

I defated Venice, and then warred against Burgundy, as I didn't know that of how the events worked . I did take the Netherlands and then I got the great idea of unifing the Frisian coast, and sent declarations of war to all and sundry, allways without a CB, so my stability was at a constant -3 and rebellions were a monthly occurance, FOR THE WHOLE 100 YEARS I PLAYED ...

Of course I was playing at normal/weakling, so there were no BB wars or so... After fighting in the Low Countries I had the brilliant idea of attacking Poland to get the Danzig CoT (I aimed at CoTs as I even then knew that they were rich, but I didn't remember to place any merchants...). I sent in tiny 5000 man units which kept starving away or get killed...

But I kept going and attacked Genua, still aiming for the CoTs... But when their über-fortress refused to fall after ca 2 years of siege some power with superior tech (tech higher then 2 that is) attacked and with some well-timed rebellions it all fell apart.

Still, the funniest game I ever played

Unwisely choose "Hold on to the Reins!" in "Arvid Horn and the Age of Freedom".

A few years later I was DEAD! DEAD! DEAD! And Russia was besieging Stockholm...

I was playing Tuscany, and had conquered two other provinces (Modena and the southern one of the Papal east coast provinces). At some point early in the game I ended up in a war with Byzantium, with Siena as my ally. I ignored it - because hell, what's Byzantium going to do to me (I found out). After a while, Byzantium declared war on Mantua and annexed them. Then they came for me. After a bloody war in which I was no use whatsoever (Siena provided almost all of the war effort), Siena was annexed, and then Byzantium conquered all of my provinces, vassalizing me and stealing my other provinces, leaving a purple swathe across Italy.

AI Byzantium kicking your ass in a long-distance naval war has GOT to qualify.

 

[Stonewall]

Two days ago I played a 1419 EEP game as Austria and got my clock cleaned by a beheamoth Bohemia...which controlled most of Germany by 1450. 1456 rolls along and lo and behold...Bohemia comes a knockin and I lost completely... all five of my provinces got stolen in previous 1442 war...and then they annexed me...it was awful. And I've been playing this game for a long time...

As England I lost the hundred years war on January 1, 1419 to win a thread of who could end the hundred years war the fastest.

I lost as Granada in the 1492 Scenario.... I mean, damn, I must've sucked.


Oh yeah. I got a reccomendation. Peter E really sucks, I mean he dosen't even deserve to be on this forum he's so bad. I doubt he could WC on the old patches, let alone the new ones. His avatar should be "I'm horrible at EU2"
