The Old - Part I
(As this has changed slightly, see below in thread for more word on this nomination period)
As we move into 2005, we see the list of completed works grow smaller but of no less quality. I considered simply holding one OscAAR contest for all of 2005 rather than halving it, but I decided to be as fair as possible. So we'll look at these works for nomination and vote on them in December as we nominate for the later half of 2005, voting on them come January. I imagine we might see some attention distracted by EUIII at such time, but our voting totals have only been in the 20 vote raange recently anyway, so hopefully we'll at least attract that again, if not see a rise. Perhaps these works being fresher in memory will assist as well.
So now, let us take a look at the works from January 2005 to June 2005. And as has been the case, please feel free to let me know if an error was made with inclusion/exclusion of what I term eligable. I went through every work during the period and tried to list it as finished if it was actually finished, died from computer error and effort was made to conclude the work or if it was abandoned but finished up later. Bring it to my attention and I will take another look.
The nominations round will last until November 30th. At such time, I will tabulate the votes and choose the top five AARs recieving nominations. Each of you has one voice to either nominate or second, third, etc. someone else's nomination.
And as I have suggested before, I hope that you appreciate this look back at earlier work and enjoy it now as much as the members did at the time of writing. Each and every one was given much love from the writer and I think they should have the very same from us as the reader and member of AARland. Let's show them our support.
The list of eligable works will follow in the next post. Happy reading.
