I am 25 and i've been playing EU for 4 months now.
If anyone could help me send this thread a message.
I play for 12-14 hours a day at times and really need the help!
Maybe we can form groups and have discussions on it

I spend about 6 hours each day after work playing... and the entire weekend... I think 30% of the time is spent half-listening to my wife telling me to get off the game.... hehhe

Almost the same as you - except that we only have 2 PCs and my wife and daughter both play! Therefore I spend 30% of my spare time waiting for one of them to get off the game.........

Well I needed tell you I was playing again and its shameless... im playing France and have Annexed England Ireland and Scotland and have wiped out the HRE and its about 1560. Austria has expanded and im allied to her to take Poland next. Spain is still a thorn but seeing they haven't even expanded thier capital fortress yet and spend thier money on thier colanies well..... now what was the topic of discussion again i forget... going back to taking Polish provinces............ (Unconsiously - HELP PLEASE!!!! Tell my brain to stop playing!!!!! Need Sleep!!! STOP Needs food stomach gowling STOP)

This is a viscous cycle, people play EU, other people design scenarios for it, than other people play those scenarios and write AARs, and then the first group reads those AARs and goes to play those scenarios. Am I making sense? I'm actually thinking in scenario code.

As a fellow Canadian I can tell you we have nothing to do for 2/3 of the year anyway [except watch hockey which I can do because I put a TV over my monitor and I can look up and still see if Austria is trying to sneak up on me....he shoots...he scores....hah!....caught them trying to take another province.]

How can you guys play this game for 10-12 hours straight? I think the most I have played is 2... and even then, I am usually doing something else too. No wonder there are several threads I cannot even post on!

My longest game was 45 hours. Started playing in Friday after work, and ended in Sunday morning. Lived only with help of coke and cigarette break every hour or so. After that i went to sleep and slept until Monday morning as well. But i was awake about 55 hours straight.

So yes, you can call me EU-junkie. (i need some serious help!!!)

Ever since I got the game, I've been late for work and have lost about 3 lbs due to skipping meals. In addition to reading and posting, I also scan the FAQs for new stuff I didn't know before.

And my weekends are spent with the computer while my wife buys the groceries, bring the kid out for a show and answers all my phone calls with, "He's busy at the moment. He'll call you when he can."

heheh... but I sure am glad I'm not the only guy like that. Thank goodness for these forums.

Maybe you were looking for EU-Anon for those who love someone with an EU addiction? I also qualify for that group isn't that right Aud? Aud? Aud?!?

Hjarg, you need a social life (and probably a bath). You're 24 years old. You are supposed to be having sex, frequently, with the gender(s) of your choice. Put yourself on a timer. Between EU, cigarettes, and coca cola you have developed a nice set of compulsions. Get a puppy, then you'll have to take it for walks (and leave your computer). Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
