Terrible. The game has a pause button, you know.
There is not reason not to make sure your realm is in top condition every few days.

Alexandria node is a useless piece of trash no matter what you do.

What do you mean 95% yours?
No one cares how many provinces you own in a node which has 3 exits to nodes with massive amounts of provincial tradepower propagating upwards.

The main reason for not making any real money from trade is the fact that the Ottomans still exist.
You should be in their place, Tradecapital in Constantinople with full control over Aleppo and Alexandria, steering money from Aleppo into Const, ignoring Alex completely.
Your second merchant sitting at either Transoxiana or Sind depending, until you get more of them as you conquer India and secure the Aden node so nothing leaks west and south.

YES SIR! but as I said I need the ottomans, we' re not just allied we are.....friends, would you betray a friend for money?

State everything in the iranian and levantine culture groups, and go an autonomy reduction spree. Start with states with 4/5 provinces or containing a trade buff province. Keep any states with more than 50 dev that are outside those regions, they should be good enough that the state slot move would be relatively income neutral. Develop any state province with less than 10 dev to 10 when you have MP that isnt needed. Put manufactories in all state provinces. Put a marketplace chain building in all trade buff provinces, and delete stray ones in non-buff provinces (dyes are borderline, but usually not worth the market unless there's a lot of spare building slots).

Both your production and trade should be well into triple didgets by now.

Workshops will have a quicker return on investment if you're trying to get your economy online quickly with low current income, but they are worse income/slot than manufactories. Try to build them only in provinces you know you'll be leaving them in long term.

Check religion/culture for your states.

Put light ships on steering indian and gulf of aden trade.

I am by no means an expert and this might not be the best setup, but I guess you could earn more if aleppo or Alexandria was your home node. I suspect Aleppo is the best.

From the i would use the merchants to steer trade. I'm guessing one in Samarkand and the other in Persia. A chain of merchants increase power by 10%. The trade from the nodes you control they all steer towards Aleppo anyways and there is noone to contest that.

YES SIR! but as I said I need the ottomans, we' re not just allied we are.....friends, would you betray a friend for money?
oh... my :D
Ok roleplaying aside there were moment where "great alliances" backstabbed each other :)

as example austria simply didnt help hungary when ottoman attack them. because of protestant league if I rembember well (before war of wien)
france and ottoman alliance did not exist for friendship but only to strike holy roman empire
Persians simply... dont like turks (not just ottomans :p)

BUT there is a way to control more trade of yours
1)forming persia
forming persia grants you caravan trade power with their ideas... I belive QQ ideas are better but persia ideas are better for income
2)Changing your trade node to coastal trade node where ottoman cant send trade ships
3)simply becoming much bigger than ottoman that their caravan power gonna mean nothing

Changed to Aleppo and send a mer to samarkand and the other collecting in Aleppo, because I thought, since Persia has only one out node and it goes to aleppo, 100% is pulled to Aleppo, wouldn't it be better if I put a merchant somewhere else?

Collecting just adds 10% income and is usually not that benifical.

A merchant in another node adds 10% bonus trade power in your home node(let's you earn a bigger cut). Also chaining merchants retains a part of the power from the last node (even bigger cut)

Try the two and see what's best. By this i mean open the trade screen and try the two different placements (persia/aleppo) and see what gives the highest profit. You let a month pass to let the trade update ofc
