I asked this earlier but I didn't see anything about it. Any reason to keep transports with your heavy ships or galleys if you aren't transporting troops? Should I be using heavies and/or gallies to hunt pirates in between wars? I'm assuming that hunt enemy fleets and blockade enemy ports are only applicable during war, or can I perform these actions against my rivals at any time?

Furthermore, related to ships. My light ships are patrolling the Alexandria trade node but it says they are generating zero trade power. What is going on here?

No. If you dont need them. Keep transports mothballed to save money.

Updated only on 1st of every month. Also if there are pirates your light ships might hide and thus give 0 trade power. Or they are being repaired after fighting a pirate and will give no trade power.

As for the Devshirme system - you wanna enable it but usually want to get to military tech 4 first. Its worth 100 Mp in the long run.

Also usually you do not want to accept peace deals the AI nations gives you. make your own and send instead.
