EU4: Spain over Aragon (35 provinces blocking diplo anexation)

Hello guys,

what do You reccomend...
I have Castille, Aragon is under me in PU and have 35 provinces, so I cant make diplo anexation.
Is there some easy way how to grab 3 provinces from them? (except going into war ) or I need to grab their lands throught diplo reputation and some day to inherit their land or cancel PU and take 3 provinces from them, form Spain militarily but then i probable lose Italy and Tunisia which Aragon have...

Any ideas what should be the best way to take Aragons land?
(i made Spain many times, but recetly i started new Castille campaing and I for the rist time Aragon made more then 35 provinces so "standart" way of anexing is not able...)

The only way I can think of DOES involve war - declare war on someone else, give them 3 of Aragon's provinces.

Unfinished colonies might count towards the province limit. Not certain about how this decision interacts with colonial nations.

Well, I lost war with tunisia, gave them 4 provinces and put them under Spain
Now I will handle Commonwealth and Portugal who are also under my PU.

thanks for tip, i was hoping with boosting diplo rep and annex them in Austrian style of HRE, but long time it would take...
