Eu4 preordered forum icon

i preordered the game on steam and want to add the icon. however when i try to get the cd key steam tells me that it failed to contact the key server.
any help is appreciated.:unsure:

There was a brief period where steam gave out keys by mistake.

But wouldn't giving you the key after release just make you register the game?
Meaning you would just get the normal "you own the game" icon?

Make sure to check your spam folder, it was in there for me too.

Wasn't there either. Oh well, I guess it can be fixed in tech support after release.
