Eu4 now fails to show game

Could you try renaming/moving your EU4 user directory and see if anything changes?

Delete the ...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV folder on your computer before starting the game. You must backup any save files you have in there first though. Also verify the integrity of the game cache (right click game in steam, properties, local files)
