EU4 no internet achievements

So I just had pause in the internet connection for like ~20 minutes. I only noticed it when I wanted to check achievement requirements and the button was greyed out. I thought that this is over - 300 years of playing lost etc. But after reconnecting to internet and launching EU4 ach. button wasn't greyed out. So my question is:
Is it real - can I still earn achievements in this campaign? I thought that loosing internet during game was preventing it.

Afaik you don't get an achievment only if you are offline in the instant the conditions are met, if you were temporarily offline but you go back online before the achievment conditions are met you should still be able to get it. (I might be wrong though, I've never really been in that situation)

Indeed. Having tried this multiple times I can confirm this. Just make sure the achievements are displayed. If so, you are always fine. You should do this a few times every hundred years anyway since there are sometimes bugs destroying achievements in a savegame.

No idea, haven't played CKII so far. Too busy with EU4s non-stopping DLCs

No problem. I just recall my internet going down once in a game of CKII and me not being able to get an achievement later on, but maybe it was related to something else. Either way, it's good to know this isn't the case for EUIV.

I think you will have to restart EU4 after the internet connection is back. Although take might only be necessary if you started it without connection the first time. Anyway, restart might also help with CKII.

Playing frequently on no internet I find it best to load up Steam in online mode start the iron man save and then play. You can then lose the internet and from experience I haven't failed to unlock an achievement.

I don't know if this will work if you load Steam in offline mode and start the ironman save all whilse disconnected from the internet - there's only one way to find out though!
