I takes to my computer around one hour in real time to spend 10 years in game.

My computer is 10 years old, but I have no problem with games like Skyrim. Moreover EU4 is also 10 years old...

What kind of material should I buy to get better performances on this game?

Skyrim is well optimised and hasn't had new content for ages, eu4 isn't well optimised and keeps getting new stuff
What are your specs

No expert, but i do think your CPU is rather aged and might be bottlenecking the system.

I don't know why but it feels like my EU4 is now much slower than it used to be a few months ago. Maybe it's just an idea maybe they did something
Yes.

1.33 is 2x slower than 1.30.6 (some user on Reddit did some tests, I noticed that lag too)
1.32 fixed many bugs and introduced small performance boost compared to bugged Leviathan patch, but 1.33 made the game lag again. It's slower no matter which CPU you are using.

Unpopular and radical idea: I would reduce number of provinces 5 times to ~2015 levels, while keeping current number of tags. That would give us all huge performance boost.
However it would require tons of work (eg. adjusting missions, redrawing provinces) which makes it extremely unlikely to happen, but in theory it's possible even for a team of dedicated modders.

Try mods like aFPS and SHADER BOOST, Fast Universalis or Toaster Universalis, they will give you only small CPU boost (faster ticks per month), but huge FPS boost (smoother gameplay experience) if your graphic card is weak and you lack VRAM.

AI countries have been building up more troops in the current patch than in previous patches. So, I think more number of troops is putting more pressure on your RAM/CPU. I have noticed the same problem, but not as much as yours

It has been ridiculously slow since Emperor. I'm not a coder so I don't know what the cause is but clearly something happened around this time to destroy the performance. Whatever it is was not worth it.

I also feel like the game got a lot slower with the last couple of patches. I think, patch 1.29 was the last, which ran fairly well. The bad performance is in my opinion the biggest issue of the game right now. What I wanted to add is, that the game does not just run slowly but also very unevenly.

Its not just the significant lag at the turn of each month. In general the in game time does not nearly corrrespond consistently to a certain real time. To some degree, this is understandable., but not to the extent I experience, I feel. It truely sometimes nauseates me a bit.

For a low budget system , u should go for i7 2000 series (2500 or2600) . motherboard + cpu is really cheap and easy to find for around 50/60$. With his eight cores its still doing really fine today

Provs do not generate significant lag in vanilla. Tags do. The game runs very smoothly when AI is disabled.

I mean it is just common sense. Vanilla provs contain a few values in them, like Base Development, History log, buildings. They never do anything by themselves dynamically, other than change a few values like tax income, autonomy, etc. every month. You have to go somewhat over 5000~6000 provinces before the game starts having performance issues. Currently there are 4941 provinces, including IDs for Lakes (which have even less data), Wastelands (which have even less less data and has a near-0 effect AI calculations at all), and IDs for Random New World, which don't even exist on the map most of the time.

A single tag performs weighted calculations and dice rolls every single day to make its decisions. They add even more dice rolls for country event, chance for rulers to die, and more.

I totally understand this logic, but why is it that as I vanquish all the tags in the game, the game doesn't seem to speed up xD

Did you make their provinces uncolonized or did you give the provinces to you? One country owning a lot of provinces could slow down the game in other ways. For example the notification to create new states caused a lot of lag if you had many provinces in some patches last year.
